This is lovely thank you for showing us this technique. A friend of mine has asked me to cover some bottles to hang on their grape vines in Spain this has given me a lot of inspiration and some great ideas. I had no idea that you could bake chalk paint so thank you for that tip.

Hi Rose,
I love hearing that. I myself watch UA-cam videos all the time to get inspiration. Even if I don't want to do exactly what they are doing in the video, I always come up with new ideas or my own take on something. You are so welcome, thank you for stopping by!
Patti

Absolutely gorgeous! I love that image of the girl. May I ask exactly where on the Graphics Fairy website is it located? I have made some altered bottles myself and I love this one! Thanks for your inspiration,
Fantastic!!! I'm going to try decoupaging for the first time later on today. I'm hoping to be able to purchase the thick top coat and embellishments from you. You are very talented. I REALLY LOVE THIS 😘
Love the jar, love the image, love the black and white clipart link you gently refer and I got the image girl... thinking on using that in a project... thank you, Patti :)
+Maria Joao You are welcome Maria! Tomorrows video (Thursday) will also include a transfer but it will be script.
Thank you!
Patti
I love this so much! I need some ideas how to make a bedroom door look shabby chic got any ideas?
My favorite because I love Victorian and rustic western look also.
Awesome tutorial I am going to try this thank you for doing this Olivia :)
Thank you Olivia!
This was a fun project! If you want you can post pictures when you're done on my Facebook page "Upcycle with Decoupage" I would love to see it!
Patti
I really like the "edging" technique on your serviette paper; never seen that done before. I don't know that I would Saran-wrap, I rather like the wrinkly effect! The finished product is very lovely; makes me wish there was some alternative look for the guys, like maybe using male-themed papers and darker colors?
Which one do I pick when I go into the graphics fairy? There are 3 options available.
Love it!!! Thanks for the information on the Graphic Fairy site, became a premium customer!!!
Just now watching your video and that bottle is absolutely gorgeous! I would like to know where I can purchase some of those rhinestone stickers as I haven’t seen any like those. I tried to go to your website but only saw books
lovely...
Thanks for the effort to show how it's done. I will have a go but I wonder if you could give a hint where to get these beautiful bands of crystals around the motive. I searched high and low online, can't find those.
+Herma Meyer Are you here in the US? I buy a lot of my "jewels" in Joanne Fabric. They have a pretty large department of jewelry pieces so you can make your own. If you're in the UK, I have friends there who can tell me where you can get them too.
Patti
The mod podge is for photo transfer or plain glue?instead of it can we use something else for a simple print?(NOT the one from laser peinter)
Lindo!
I found it! Thanks
I forgot where and how you got the photo transfer
I looked for this picture on Graphics Fairy and couldn't find it could you send a link? Thank you
Hi. Thanks for share this beautiful, cretives and easy ideas. I wanna know what kind of paper you use for decorate the jar plase. I'm so grateful with your funny job. Hugs.
Thank you Milena...I use regular copy paper from the printer. :) (and napkins)
Patti
It is so beautiful, I'm from South Africa and we don't get some of the stuff you're using here and if you do it's very expensive but love your video's thank you :)
Awww, thank you Henni, I hope you get a chance to work on something and try these techniques.
Patti
Hi, I was wondering if you could use a page printed on a lazer printer. I know you spoke about paper from an ink jet printer. Thanks
***** HI Honey-yes you can use the laser print and I prefer those over the ink jet. Most people have ink jet printers in their homes but a laser print is really the best for transfers. I hope you give it a try!
Patti
So beautiful! !! Love it. I've done photo transfers on canvas and wood but never glass, its great to know that it takes well to the chalk paint, you've got me wanting to try it. Do you think a crackle medium would work to give it a vintage look? If so, would you then use a different sealer than mod podge?
melinda johnston Hi Melinda and thank you! The crackle medium would work on the napkins and probably the transfer, although you would probably need to use a rub on chalk or pastel that's sheer enough for your image to come through just fine, yet settle into the cracks. I used a product called Triple Thick as my sealer, Mod Podge was the decoupage glue. I always add a top coat or sealer so as long as you keep to a "water based" top coat you're fine. Let me know how you make out!
Patti
Very talentidele lady thank you for Saaring you have given Me some iDeal for my homeXx
beautiful!
it's possible to decoupage inside the jar?
Yes! *and thank you....You would just want to make sure your image is facing outwards and you would apply it first, then follow the rest of the steps. :)
Patti
beautiful girlie!!!
We must be long lost friends Crystal, I call my closest friends Girlie. Thank you!!
Patti
This is so wonderful! I have a wine bottle I would like to Upcyle. Does the chalk paint stick to frosted glass? It came frosted so not sure if it will work. Do you happen to know? I would hate to waste amy of the paint.
Syn Palmer Hello Syn, I honestly have not tried to use the chalk paint over frosted glass. But are you on Facebook? There's a page called Mason Jar Madness and Decoupage/ It's almost all about decoupage. The group is closed but if you tell them that Patti from youtube sent you they'll let you right in, and there are so many people on that page. Someone is always on it and they are so helpful and friendly. You may want to friend them and ask them if they have tried it. I'm sure someone had to have tried it. Sorry I didn't have a more definitive answer for you Syn. Thank you for your compliment too!
Patti
Can I use acrylic paint??
I cant seem to find that photo on the site you posted ...Could you help me thanks
+Shellie Wooley Hi Shelly, here's the link for it. ;)

Patti
Is this the mod podge that you suggest to use on napkins?
It is better to use any decoupage glue that is specifically made for napkins, it makes it a lot easier on you. :)
Patti
I love this! I didn't know you did the video! I was just catching up on your videos, as I mentioned I'm a makeup artist, so I travel a lot! Can this be done on plastic? If be afraid of dropping the glass
LRHmakeup LOL, you were the reason I did it and thank you so much! I loved the way it came out and so did a lot of others. I am pretty sure you can use chalk paint on plastic. If you don't have chalk paint though, they make all colors of spray paints made just for plastic. You can then follow all of the steps once the spray paint dries. I hope that helps!
Patti
Hi,
Are the oven degrees 170° Farenheit or Celsius ?
Thanks so much.
Karine.
Karine van daele I'm sorry Karine, it is Farenheit. I'll remember to mention that in my next video, thank you!Patti
looks gorgeous, but i found really hard to do. can't do transfers at all :( any help welcome x
+Lynne PowellHill thank you Lynne, I'm sorry that didn't work for you. I totally understand your frustration. I tried doing transfers so many ways and got frustrated so many times. Here is a video I did on 3 ways to do transfers, I hope this helps-but please ask me any questions that you may have. You may prefer one of these over the others. Personally, I think using laser transfers makes the whole process much more likely to succeed. ua-cam.com/video/-znBKFIB3BA/v-deo.html
Patti
This is so beautiful!! You are so talented and thank you so much for the videos you share. I am just wondering if the transfer can be done with a color photo copy.
Thank you so much for answering me so quickly. I really enjoy all of your videos. I am just wondering what you think of the "home made" mod podge made from glue and water? Do you think it would be ok for decoupaging?
Hi Mel, and you are so welcome! I don't use that because to me the finish looks a little plastic like-but when you're first starting out or experimenting it's fine to use. If you're in the U.S. it's so much better to use a coupon in the craft stores and buy a decoupage glue. They have different polymers in them, they are acid free (so your project won't turn a dingy color over time) and they're not that expensive. :) Hope that helps!
Patti
thansk you so much for the tutorials but i always get scared to heat the glass or any project in oven
ans the bottle should be given a coat of sealer
Hello Reshmi and thank you. The projects don't have to be dried in the oven-you can air dry them. I never advise anyone to use the oven once they add a top coat. :)
Patti
Very Nice, How much minutes baked in oven ?
Regards.
Karine.
Karine van daele Thank you Karine, I put my jar in a cold oven (there's much less chance of it breaking or cracking) then I turn the oven on to 170 Fahrenheit. My oven will make a small ding sound when it reaches 170, I then turn it off and leave the jar in for about a 20 minutes. I would say it takes about a half an hour or so. It's ok to leave it in for a little longer or a little less though. Patti
Dear Mrs. Elhoff,I have been trying to access the Graphic Fairy Archives and without much success. Is there a certain area of access? Because, apparently, I'm not in the right area, for every time, I search for a certain image, I seem to be getting anything but, what I'm looking for. Can you help? Thank so much.
+Antoinette Lee Hi Antoinette, here's a direct link to their site. Just click on the link and it will open the page right up. thegraphicsfairy.com
I hope this helps!
Patti
I was so glad I found your youtube videos! I have been decopaging since I was a teenager-off and on through the years-and have been inspired to start again. I love making things beautiful and really enjoy your projects.Love your music, by the way!
