@@elena.deinhammerprobably because ysaye is better known for his violin works. Also it is super uncellistic in that it feels like it was not written for cello or by someone who has never played a cello
There is someone heavily breathing. But this is good, because this exceptionally difficult piece is played so excellent that otherwise I wouldn't be sure, if there is really a human being or a maybe an extraterrestrial form playing it xD
I've always thought that compositions written for solo instruments have always been underwhelming for me, and this point of view remains unchanged. Piano and organ are the only exceptions.

Wow this is really excellent, I've never heard of these before. UA-cam's recommendations weren't absolute garbage for once!
I just found the greatest cello work in the human history.
It's great for sure but I wouldn't go that far.
How did I not know about this beautiful piece until now?!
Is this a transcription from violin, maybe? It's beautiful for cello.
No, it was originally composed for cello, I just didn't know it 😄@@elizabethcsicsery-ronay1633
@@elizabethcsicsery-ronay1633 Hi :) I am currently writing a transcription for violin of this beautiful piece! I think I will finish it this august.

With the double stops and the melancholic key, it’s like the cellist equivalent of the Bach chaconne
I was thinking the same thing :)
This is a hell of compliment gotta say.
Yeah, the only difference is that it isn't as long
Virtuose et parfaitement musical. L'épreuve de départ parfaite pour le concours international Reine Elisabeth;
Loving that cello tone
Great video and very inspiring for me 👍🏼

toothless toe agreed
Lmfao ok...
Ever listened to the Bach cello suites or the sonatas and partitas for solo violin?
Bach cello suite 5 turns the cello into an organ.
Trash opinion tbh
