Very well thought out video. Hit a lot of key points. I totally agree. Everything you said was on point and the closing message was pure honesty that I appreciate
All I can say is thank you bro I’m a new barber I’ve technically been cutting professionally for about a year and some change I been too two shops the first one wasn’t bad but just too far from home 45 minutes… the new shop I’m at I’ve been there for about 6 months and I’ve built a steady clientele of about I’d say 20 people a week not to bad but I do have other sources of income to where I’m able to afford to move to a suite at the shop I’m at I pay 600 a month for booth rent I found a suite here in my city for roughly 500 don’t get me wrong it’s a cool shop but I’m a real entrepreneur at heart and I got into the barbering business so I can be my “own boss” if I wanted to be told what to do when to do it and how to do it I would’ve just kept working on that slave ship you know 😂. I get it there are rules everywhere you go but I’d like to set my own so I’ll use that extra 100 a month and put it into my marketing flyers, business cards, ads I don’t mind doing the footwork to gain new clientele. 0 efforts leads to 0 results gotta crawl before you can walk but you’ll never walk if you never try to stand on your own 💪🏾💯🙏🏾
Most definitely brother! If you feel like you’re ready to take on all that comes with being an owner I’d say GO FOR IT. Create the environment and experience you want for you’re clients and they’ll definitely support you. Good luck fam!! I know you’re gonna kill it in you’re city
Im consistently learning brother. This art changes so much and it's good to never get comfortable. I can improve on styling straight hair I suck at that! Majority of my clients are African American men. I know that's an area id like to get better in man. Great question, thanks for watching fam!
Are any of you guys considering a suite? Did my video help?
I'm a newly established barber studio owner thank you for this video

In the 15 years of cutting what do you think you can improve on as a barber?
