I believe the medicine has sent me several invitations through chance encounters, people I've met and information I've been exposed to over the past few years. I've been actively seeking healing from childhood trauma, both conventional and unconventional, for 40 years. That interspersed with active addiction patterns. I'm drawn to try ayahuasca for healing, but have two concerns. First is that I've been blocking trauma that is too great for me to bear, and risk being further traumatized if this is presented to me in an ayahuasca ceremony. Second concern is that after using ayahuasca, I will need extensive debriefing that is not available through conventional counselling. Any thoughts you can offer, or resources you can suggest, would be greatly appreciated. Again, my gratitude for your video.
Dear Connie, No one can give you a good answer based on a few sentences you have written ...especially after you said you're looking for a solution for about 40 years. But here's one suggestion for you. Try to think in this direction... Are you sure it's about childhood trauma or is it maybe something else, covered with an excuse about childhood trauma? The human mind is a tricky thing and can easily lead you to a wrong path. About taking Ayahuasca.... Noone serious will advise you to go for it. If you're not sure should you take it, then DON'T !!! What you can do instead, is to inform yourself about it. There's plenty of information on the internet. Google it. Become a theoretical expert in it. Be sure to learn EVERYTHING about it. Don't look only for positive experiences, but learn about negative experiences as well. Ayahuasca is a mixture of different plants. Each plant has its own properties. Which plants would you use? What ratio between chosen plants? There's plenty of things you should learn about it before any decision. Once you get familiar with it, you'll get your answer and it will come from you ...not from me or anyone else. Be wise and careful !! Much love
