Is the foot pocket the same size we use for shoes or is conceived to wear neoprene socks?

Hallo, these foot pockets are conceived to be used with neoprene socks, for this reason the right size is one bigger than the shoes size (e.g. shoes 41 - foot pockets 41/42, shoes 42 - foot pockets 42/43)
