To be completely honest the movie was better than what I thought ...I knew it wasn't going to be bad but it was surprising ... Mostly I was happy to see Donald Pleasence it's kinda a shame that some scenes are only available dubbed in Italian considering that it was shot in English ... it's weird ... But that's Dario argento's way ..... Even worst his previous movies audio wasn't even recorded properly but that was common in Italian filmmaking at the time ..... In conclusion it's a good and solid movie great performances from Jennifer Connely / Donald Pleasence and Daria Nicolodi and it's definitely one of my favorite ones from Dario argento
中学生の頃、映画が好きでラジオの映画音楽特集を聴いていた時に(関光男と林真理子が出演してた。懐かしい)｢サスペリア｣｢フェノミナ｣｢デモンズ｣の3曲が流れ、ゴブリンファンひいてはプログレファンになりました。田舎町ではCDは手に入らず大学に入ってからようやく入手できました。フェノミナは特に大好きな一曲。以降様々なアレンジ版も聴いたけどやはりオリジナルが一番。なおサントラ版にはゴブリン以外の曲も多く入ってますがこれらの曲もなかなかなので、一聴の価値あり。映画では主題歌並みの取り扱いをされていたアイアン・メイデンのフラッシュ・オブ・ブレードも鬼気迫るリズムとメロディで聴かせる楽曲だ。
