In this video, I react to scenes in the Simpsons nuclear power plant episodes from the perspective of a nuclear physicist. I go through the scenes in the Simpsons episodes and look through what is accurate information about nuclear power plants and radioactivity in the Simpsons nuclear episodes and react to it.
Hope you like the video about Nuclear Physicist Reacts to THE SIMPSONS - Homer eats URANIUM. Don't forget to like and subscribe and share with friends and family members.
Kicking off the new year with the Simpsons! Figure I’d make this one lengthy for a change, let me know your thoughts on that for future Simpson's reactions. I Wish you guys a happy new year!

It's more entertaining when it involves scenes related to the nuclear power plant Homer works at. Smithers's love for Mr. Burns is sad and cringeworthy by itself. He's loyal to a fault, but Burns is loyal to nothing but the almighty dollar. Smithers has serious mental issues, not the least of which is he's quite afraid to admit he is homosexual to most people. He clearly has masochistic tendencies and sets himself up to receive maximum abuse. It's kind of a classic abusive dominant-submissive relationship. Marge, as you learned, is the wife, the oldest daughter is Lisa, the son is Bart, and the baby is Maggie. The scene with the spent fuel rods was actually of them using the rods for bowling pins. It's not actually unusual for workers to improvise a bowling ball and bowling pins out of other things, though hopefully these items aren't being used. One memorable example was using the converter dolly (used to turn a semi-trailer into a full trailer on big trucks) as the "bowling ball" and empty 208 liter drums as bowling pins. A "converter dolly" is basically an axle with four tires (two on each end of the axle) mounted on a short steel frame with a pintle hook on one end and a fifth-wheel assembly mounted on top. The pintle hook hooks to the rear of the first trailer and the front of the second trailer sits on top of the fifth-wheel assembly. They usually weigh about 1,400 to 1,800 kg. One of the main pathways through the truck yard served as the bowling alley. We'd pick up the front of the dolly by the pintle hook, push the dolly backwards toward the barrels at about 8 km/h, and let go just like you would a bowling ball.
The uranium in the mouth is a parody of “I love Lucy”. Search “Lucy and the chocolate factory” it is your humour for sure :D (it was also copied on My Little Pony) it’s a classic ^-^
Are the simpsons new to you? I thought the whole world knew the show and I'm not American....
@@corneliusnielsen There's a lot of Americans who don't know much about the show. It's something of a love-it-or-hate-it show in a country that is a huge fan of the love-it-or-hate-it mentality with everything from cars to politicians.
12:32 you got to the clip where Bart uses a paint mixer to shake up Homer's beer. 😂
ua-cam.com/video/r4g8S7y0p2c/v-deo.html
The third one was actually a compilation. The explosion is from another episode where Bart shakes a can of Homers beer so much, that it causes a major explosion
Ok that’s why I felt that it was all over the place Ahahah thanks for the info 👩🏽🔬☢️
@@YourFriendlyNuclearPhysicist Yeah, he was trying to do a "working nuclear reactor" for Lisa's science fair 😅
Yeah, it was an April fool's prank, and bart used a paint shaker.
I was going to say Dark Simpsons doesn't count. It is a channel that does fan edits using clips from different Simpsons episodes to create original dark themed content... in the case of that clip Homer builds a Nuclear Bomb and detonates it.
@@transigence637 And I wonder how many of us have actually done that.
6:45 The scene where Homer eats Uranium is a reference to a famous episode of I Love Lucy where the main character and her friend do something similar with a conveyer of chocolates!
Oh how cool to know! Thanks for the info 👩🏽🔬☢️
Beat me to it... lol
ah yes, I was trying to place that, I knew I remembered something along those lines.
There was even a similar SNL sketch (with Gilda Radner) as Lucy but she was working at an "A-Bomb" factory, where the bombs came down a conveyor belt and she had to put whipped cream and a cherry on top of each.
@@Insightfill I saw that episode too and was going to comment about it. I thought that was the main reference of the Homer scene, with the Lucy one being a distant call back.
The old guy is Homer's father, Abraham Simpson.
The scene with the glowing green rods on a conveyor belt and Homer eating some of them is an homage to a famous scene in I Love Lucy where Lucy and Ethel are trying to work at a chocolates factory and the chocolates are going by faster than they can wrap them so they desperately stuff some of them into their mouths and clothing to prevent unwrapped chocolates from getting past them.
Ahhh! I was going to tell that. :(
I love the subtle jokes. When homer tells Smithers that he is sexually frustrated, there is a picture of Mr Burns in the background and Smithers says "tell me about it!" Smithers has had a crush on Mr Burns for a long time.
Eating the Urainium 232 and 235 was a parody of I Love Lucy when she is eating the chocolates.
He wasn't playing football. He was bowling. Bowling is homer's hobby.
Also, I don't know if you noticed but when the two headed fish kissed itself, it turned into a heart shape lol.
We just not gonna talk about how powerful she is? Just casually blowing stuff up by uncrossing her arms🤣
Super Saiyan style
Elina has a hidden superpower, like Dr. Bruce Banner.
dont fear if she uncrossing her arms its just a nuclear fission think about what happens if she crossing her arms that could cause a nuclear fusion that would be a bigger problem so pls anyone tie her arms.
Surprised it was only a conventional explosion.
@@YourFriendlyNuclearPhysicist Freiza's Supernova is similar to a nuclear bomb. :)
As a huge Simpsons fan I loved your "what's the wife's name even" line haha
Also the 3rd one was from 'Dark Simpsons' a great fan channel that mashes up different clips for dark/sad/different endings and tones
The yellow guy is Lenny and the black one is Carl and they both have masters degrees in nuclear physics. Carl is Homer's supervisor and Lenny is a technical supervisor.
Supervisor? I thought Homer was (horrifically) Chief Safety Officer, one of the highest-ranking positions at a nuclear plant.
@@Archgeek0 no he's just the safety inspector for sector 7G meaning there are atleast 48 other safety inspector of his rank.
"Smithers, come up to my rear and get me."
Smithers crush on Mr. Burns has lasted longer than most marriages.
It's actually very refreshing to see someone react to a popular show they haven't seen before, it makes me wonder how I would react if I hadn't known it also 😅😂😁 Very fun video for the new year! Best wishes for 2023 to you and all reading this comment!
The cherenkov radiation would add a nice glow to the wedding 😂
The scene of Homer eating uranium is a reference to a famous episode of _I Love Lucy._ In the episode, Lucy is working at a candy factory packing candy into boxes. But the candy starts coming down the conveyer belt too fast, so she starts eating it.
Love these. Please never stop.

There was a teacher whom didn't believe in the existence of God, one day he asked his students, do you see God?
the students then replied no we don't see God, so the teacher said if you don't see God it means there is no God.
then a smart student stood up and said to the other students hey guys can you see the teachers brain?
then the students answered no we don't see the teachers brain, the student then said the teacher then is crazy, he has no brain

The universe science says was not always there, it had a beginning point, the big bang, meaning it was begun/initiated in other words created, thus there should be a creator,
there must be a God.
The evolution theory doesn't deny the existence of God, rather it proves that even if we become dust that there is a possibility of return, even if via repetition of the evolution of creation, through the will of God, again.

Prophecies in Major World Religious Books Referring to Prophet Mohammed:
1. The Bible - Deuteronomy 18:18-19, John 14:16, John 16:7-14, Isaiah 42:1-13
2. The Hindu Scriptures - Bhavishya Purana, Atharvaveda Book 20 Hymn 127-129

& Regarding the verses in the Quran asking to protect non-believers or polytheists, there are several that emphasize the importance of treating all people with respect and kindness, regardless of their religious beliefs.
One such verse is found in Surah Al-Mumtahanah (60:8), which states: "Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly."
Also In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Merciful (If any of the polytheists seek protection from you, grant him protection)
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم(إن استجارك أحد من المشركين فأجره)
Another verse in Surah Al-Anfal (8:61) encourages Muslims to make peace with their enemies, even if they are non-believers or polytheists: "And if they incline to peace, then incline to it also and rely upon Allah. Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Knowing."
& Regarding the verses in the Quran asking for justice and kindness, there are many such verses throughout the holy book. One example is found in Surah An-Nahl (16:90), which states: "Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded."
& In terms of prophecies about Prophet Mohammed in major world religions, there are a few examples that some scholars have pointed to. One such example is found in the Bible's Book of Deuteronomy (18:18), which states: "I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him." Some Muslims interpret this verse as a prophecy about Prophet Mohammed.
Because the Arabs are the brethren's of Israelites,
The Arabs are descendants from Ishmael or Ismail the brother of Isaac the father of Israelites, and because the verse didn't say from amongst them or from their descendants, it said from their brethren's.
Similarly, some scholars point to a passage in the Bhavishya Purana, an ancient Hindu text, as a prophecy about Prophet Mohammed. The passage describes a "holy man" who will come from Arabia and spread a new religion, and some argue that this refers to Mohammed and the spread of Islam..
Also search scientific miracles in the quran, harun yahya its nice,
One God for all of us
he created us all and can revive us again,
God initiated everything,
& he repeat/redo things too, & thats clear, we see many cycles of different things in life, also in summer for example the desert land becomes like empty and is filled with only sand, and when rain falls in abundance in spring or winter, after that small flowers & wild plants grow again, also, we see how humans and animals grow and how their body is formed from the elements which were in the sand which plants feed on which they eat, and after they die they go to the sand and their atoms/elements are taken by plants which humans & animals eat and their bodies grow from those atoms & elements found in the sand which came from previous humans & animals which died before, so God can bring us again after we die even if our atoms became in the sand he can make us from the same atoms we were made of or from other atoms if he want or make us be in a spirit form or like ghosts, any ways, everything in this life is recycled, learn if you want about the different cycles in life in nature, the food cycle or food chain, the water cycle, even the gas cycle that makes the air the oxygen &carbon dioxide &nitrogen cycles, even the energy is like recycled but only changes from form to another form.
Anyways,, God created this life but it's only a temporary sample/an example of a coming everlasting one
which could be either in heaven paradise or in hell.
If we try to be good humans in life, and try to obey God and his messengers-including the final messenger for all humanity the prophet Mohammed- and those whom rightly represent them, for example imam Ali & ahlulbayt the family/good descendants of the prophet mohammed, then we will all go to heaven/paradise, if not then we will go to hell fire and burn in it forever.
keep shining sunshine &spread the light...
The eating the Uranium is probably a reference to a VERY OLD I Love Lucy episode where her job was to place candy from a conveyor belt into boxes. But the line sped up to where she couldn't do this fast enough so she ended up eating the candy instead of boxing it. The wife's name is Marge and the old guy is Homer's father.
Seeing reactions to clips of that show is really the only way I still like that show.
Also, that one where the house explodes is actually a fan-edit that uses clips from very different episode and the situation with those clips, never actually happened within the cannon-history of the show.
Elina is the world's greatest nuclear reactor! Happy New Year 😀🎉
Where is your next stand up gig
"How much of the X-Rays did he get?"
The joke is that he's actively getting X-Rays. The uranium powering the "device" is unshielded, and looking at him from the back (where he's between the uranium and our POV) is showing an active X-Ray image.
Having grown up with The Simpsons, and with it pretty much everywhere & in every home except one, it's actually pretty interesting watching you see it for the first time. There's been moments that seemed predictable to me, but we got to see you getting the full blast, sight unseen.
That last scene where the house blew up isn't apart of the same episode. Not sure why they paired those up, but where the house blew up, Bart played a April Fool's prank on Homer by grabbing one of his Beer Cans and having it violently shaken by a paint shaker (basically, supposed to have a small fizzy explosion). It ended up blowing up the entire house as comedic joke instead.
its from a channel called dark simpsons, which specializes in arranging different clips of the simpsons together to make new stories, usually darker varieties involving death and other misfortunes
LMAO!! Your facial expressions at some of these clips is worth the whole video!🤣 Thanks for the laughs Elina!😍
- Uh, Elina, I don't think Homer Simpson's nuclear plant has night shift operator.
- Oh, you must not have seen the full episode. The episode begins when Lisa and Bart return from Camp Krusty being traumatised. Bart uses this traumatised to bully Homer, faking he has a nightmare and had to sleep with his parents.
- That old man in the breakfast scene is Abraham J. Simpson, Homer's father.
- The second part, Homer was kicked for abusing Narcolepsy symptom as an excuse to get out of doing chores. It's actually just a dream. You have to watch full episode to piece up everything but that episode is just weird.
-The fourth clip, Moe is the guy that walk pass the guy who is proposing to the girl. Moe is the barkeeper that serves Homer Simpsons.
- A little bit about Smithers (the guy that save Mr Burns), he was a kid of an employee. His father died trying to save nuclear plant when he was just a baby. Mr Burns adopt him since. There's an episode about his story. Oh, the reason he becomes gay is Mr Burns told him that his father died being killed by Amazon women I think, thus make him a homo. And as you can guess, Smithers look highly at Mr Burns.
- Well, why the principal is so hard on Lisa, nobody likes a smart egghead apparently because everyone felt Lisa is annoying (except the blue hair boy, Milhouse)
They actually have a nightshift
6:15 There is an old joke Ronald Regan used to tell.
A guy from the Soviet Union had been such a good Communist that he earned the opportunity to buy a private car.
So he headed for the dealer, paid his money, filled out all the paper work and was told his car would be ready to pick up in 10 years.
The guy asked if it would be in the morning or the afternoon. The dealer said, "It's 10 years, what does it matter"
The guy said, "Well, the plumber is coming in the morning, so I need to pick up the car in the afternoon."
The problem with Homer and the ketchup might be a response to diabetes. Sometimes night terrors are a response of the body to a blood sugar crash. Ketchup has high fructose corn syrup.
Oddly enough I never needed a nuclear physicist to tell me eating uranium is probably a poor practice 😆 it's very interesting to hear your thoughts! Very fun 😊
na it'll just kill you nothing poor about that🤣🤣🤣
9:50 They had decontamination showers at the refinery where my dad worked.
These showers were outside, in the open and they were not at all like the shower in your home.
They dumped out a massive amount of unheated water. That water could be quite cold, especially in winter.
Homer eating the uranium is a homage to an episode of I Love Lucy where she worked in a chocolate factory and as the belt sped up she started eating them and putting them inside her outfit.
I love your reactions to The Simpsons! Its so wholesome 🖤
I may have cracked up laughing when Mr. Burns parachute came off. 😂
The three eyed fish is called "Blinky". The glowing rod from the opening scene is referred to as the "Inanimate carbon rod".
Your ("nuclear") reactions to Simpsons clips is great! I have a plain old physics degree myself so I got a little "exposure" to nuclear physics. 😁 (ok enough puns). But I ultimately got a second degree in electrical engineering and that was my career. Homer eating pieces of uranium was crazy funny! I missed the Lucy/Ethyl spoof part initially and I'm old enough to have watched that Lucy episode. Of course the pieces of candy Lucy was eating weren't alpha emitters that decay into intense gamma emitters. 😅 Love these reactions!
Yeah but even when you think you're right or wrong, there's always that random quantum probability, and everywhere you look there is i and sometimes e. Now please find me a good FFT I need to differentiate these wave patterns. There's got to be light here somewhere, if not please fetch me a lantern so i can eat my pie before we die from this reactor, i think i lost my protractor. Either way it's okay because we are nothing more than a set of wave particle dualities migrating in a field. First comes the sine then comes the cosine but only one of them is real and the other is imaginary yet they complete both the triangle and the circle. So yes, either if we are right or we are wrong, there's always that chance to land on that arc since it must always be one and knowing that e^(i*pi) + 1 = 0 as you can see we're right back where we started from needing the FFTs and some light to solve these waves and to eat some pie while trying not to die. This nuclear stuff appears to be no more than an endless loop kind of like pop culture music as it will decay into waste. So please hurry with some haste and don't forget the fork, because i get tired of the repetitive copy and paste as it eventually becomes a bit fuzzy and what's that buzz? Was it alarm 3, alarm 5, or alarm 3 and 5? This logic doesn't seem to make sense to me for all that i can C, it looks like fission to me since our intel can't handle fusion where a* can. Was that a snake in the room? It must have been a Python, let's hope it wasn't an Anaconda because i don't think we could bash it, jumping out of windows won't help us either, and it wouldn't be the right time to eat an apple. I guess we'll have to fall back to our Fortron for better security, but let's hope those firewalls hold up against this nasty worm. Otherwise it might be lights out and i will be asking you for that lantern again so i can eat my pi before I die. Oh no, here we go again; i am a bit confused, is this an infinite loop or is it some kind of recursion? For the life of me, i can't tell, it must be deja vu. Wait was that black cat i just seen? If this is the matrix then that's pretty mean and i will just have to switch the mode. All this stuff running in circles had me drinking too much coffee, and now I really need to p. At least with p and i and e, there is some pie even if it is imaginary. I hope this isn't to complex of a job for you we need that power of electricity to turn on the lights otherwise it's back to needing that lantern again. What is this the dark ages? Do we have to go back and witness Newton's bright idea of gravity? That apple should have been in my pie! The past, the present, the future it's all a quantum paradox of reality. Looking into the horizon is that Ben Franklin that i see getting struck by electricity? Now i am gonna have to wait for over a century for the first practical light bulb by Edison to be. Hey wait, i know that name, i have been there before, i am originally from New Jersey. It would be 127 years to be exact and another 17 years before the first radioactive material to be discovered, 34 years before we discover nuclear energy. Then add another 21 years before we finally have nuclear power, too bad we couldn't have went with some Tesla Towers, and no i didn't invent a Time Machine. Do i really have to witness WWI, the great depression and WII just to witness nuclear power and energy? Looks like i will have to go back and manually do some assembly for it would be a few more decades before Dennis Ritchie of Bell Labs creates C a very long lasting language I might say. Look it's a vintage radio? Who is that singing Teenage Wasteland? Do us a favor and flip that switch so i can C to solve those FFTs and finish my pie. These Maxwell equations, Ohm's and Kirchhoff's Laws are quite easy to integrate, but these Schrodinger equations can be a qubit tricky... I told you everywhere you look there is i and sometimes e and you'll always see it in pie it's that easy. Thank you for the light now i can C and that this endless loop is almost over. Hey, who turned out the lights on me, again, now i can not C. What a pity. It doesn't take an Einstein to produce some electricity just look at Homer... oh wait, that's a bad parody. If this doesn't work, we'll have to fall back on the Oilers oh I mean Euler, Dirac and many others; otherwise i will be walking that tiny Planck. Did it really take all of these people just to have some electricity? Then again it was much simpler in those days, we didn't have the CIA, NSA and all of those i's in the sky... Do we really have to build that Faraday Cage just to have some privacy? Speaking of Cage he quoted in 2007: "There's an Italian painter, named Carlotti, and he defined beauty. He said it was the summation of the parts working together in such a way that nothing needed to be added, taken away or altered, and that's you. You're beautiful." From the works of all these great minds is it all that hard to turn on a switch to have so light so that we can C and eat some pie before we die? Can i run this through a Turing Machine? Let's hope it doesn't throw a Stack Overflow. And of course it ends with a reoccuring e.
Thank you so much for your fun Simpson reaction video. Your reactions are really enjoyable.
If you want your own green glowing liquid, maybe to scare visitors or new students, antifreeze illuminated with a uv light source gives an appropriate green glow. I use this trick to find coolant leaks on my classic cars. They always leak something.

6:47 This is a parody of a famous scene from the old show I Love Lucy where Lucy is working in a candy factory, wrapping candy as it comes out. But they come faster and faster and she can't keep up. She ends up stuffing them in her mouth.
That guy is Homer dad, his wife is Marge Simpson and hid dad, aka Grandpa Simpson. I watch it growing up in the United States. Which explains a lot about how we behave in the US. 🙄
The sorting/eating of the U 232 and U 235 is a call back to very early Black and White TV Ep. of I Love Lucy involving a conveyer belt and chocolates.
13:14 Those are the names of the producers of the show!
Also, fun fact: the hair on the side of Homer's head makes an 'M' and his ear is made to look kind of like a 'G' which are the initials of the creator of the show, Matt Groening!
wasn't that just a hoax?
The clip where the house exploded at the end was from a channel called Dark Simpsons. The guy who runs it puts a bunch of clips from many different Simpsons episodes together to create a new story that usually has a catastrophic ending.
8:39 I like how they included the two German businessmen who purchased the powerplant for one episode.
What makes me more woried that he picks the uranium by hand, is why they have U232 in a light water reactor. Are they running some kind of fuel scam?
9:50 My dad was a refinery technician at an oil refinery. The showers are clean, but they are not provided with hot water... or privacy.
The eating is a reference to an old episode of I love Lucy, she's working in a candy factory and the line backs up so she starts stuffing her mouth.
Years ago, back when National Lampoon was a humor monthly magazine they had a section called "True Facts". I remember one article about a gentleman that went around showing how safe nuclear reactors were and he did such things as eating small amounts of nuclear waste, swimming in reactor pools, etc. The article stated that he appeared to be in good health etc. but when tested for how much radiation his body had absorbed over the years, if was found he had to be buried over 5 miles deep when he eventually died.
Some of the writers of the Simpsons said they took a tour of a nuclear power plant to get ideas for the show and used almost none of what they saw but looked to movies to design the plant as leaking everywhere. lol

There is a tendency to 'shorten' words in the English language.
Australians are notorious for doing this -
but this tendency is not specific to Australian culture.
Some would suggest it is the ' evolution of language '
I would suggest it is devolution as a result of 'Mental Laziness'
In the end - the origin of the word is lost as is the 'real meaning'
resulting in new words being created.
Whether that is linguistic evolution is open to debate.
Arabic language in its written form is 'stripped' of words - making
sentences shorter - a kind of linguistic 'shorthand' yet it can still be
understood - This also works in the English language.
Many new words are created by joining-together two other words.
Though I was speaking five languages by age 5 - and learned others
later - and it is rare that I speak them.
Adding - German - some French - arabic - Persian - Kurdish and Turkish
languages.
There is always a tendency to pick up words from other languages -
part-icularly as Australia is a Multi-Cultural Nation.
My mother is Russian and was born in Ukraine - My father - U.S. born of
Italian parents - - I had a Polish Nanny when I was very young - A German Uncle
(Husband of my Mom's eldest sister)
- and I learned Latin at school -
I did not learn English until I started School (starting at age 4)
For the record - I was teaching English and History - following a 30
year Military Aviation career - and Electronics/Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
Everything interests me - except ball related sport -
For me - My view is that Dogs chase balls - a brain-numbing pastime.
With the exception of women's - Tennis - which is somewhat entertaining
and provides optical exercise.

The explosion isn't nuclear, and isn't even in the episode that his nuclear is in.
The explosion was the unrealistically large result of him opening a beer can that was shaked in a paint mixer.
I don't recognize the "we're all going to..." line though.

When Homer says to Bart, "Son I want you to know I love you very much", and Bart shoves half a grapefruit against Homers face and says, "Shut up", that is a reference to an old Jimmy Cagney movie. 👴🏼
What you may find interesting, is that The Simpson's has a lot of mathematicians and physicists in its writing staff! Obviously they weren't trying to create something realistic, but they actually know much more than the show may indicate.
Also, I was curious to see how long it'd take you to perceive that smither's is in love with Mr Burns.

These clips from UA-cam are not full episodes, Elina.
Many of them are chopped to avoid UA-cam's copyright algorithm.
The scene where Homer eats the uranium is from a famous episode of a comedy show "I Love Lucy" where Lucy and Ethel are trying to package chocolate candy on a fast moving conveyor belt. ua-cam.com/video/AnHiAWlrYQc/v-deo.html The old man is Homer's father.
I love how half of her reactions are just a side-eye glance at the camera. Nothing else really needed to be said. LOL
12:36 That's from another episode. This explosion comes from a beer can that Bart shaked in a paint mixer.
The eating the uranium on the conveyor is a reference to Lavern and Shirley. They worked in a chocolate factory.
So deprivation at home makes you more productive at work.... interesting." No no no, let's not.... let's not go down THAT road 😳 🤣
The simpsons was really good in the 90s
"the old guy" is Homer's dad
They do have employee of the month but it in Burns office or somewhere, homer did get one put up once by burns
There is a good episode with a nuclear power plant title "King-Size Homer" S7 E7 where Homer works from home.
The first clip was from season 28 episode 16: Kamp Krustier. The Kamp Krusty episode, where I assume they had their traumatic experience is season 4 episode 1.
So early the video is still warm... how did I manage this??
Edit: can we do a nuclear themed Valentine's special? I have tons of cheesy puns floating in my head for atomic pick-up lines!
Ahahaha elaborate please!☢️👩🏽🔬
Like "you're an uncontrolled chain reaction... Because you make me melt!" as an example that i came up with while watching this video. Just cheesy and awful puns and memes
A cooling tower is superb surface to place giant ADs ...
The Simpsons are always crazy , but sometimes show spoilers to future events (like 9-11 2001) or future products like the Swiss "SARco" = Simpsons "die-Pod"
8:39 Well on the top row there is a picture from when two Germans bought the power plant, before Mr. Burns bought it back 😂👍
also, in the footbal/ bowling scene, the ball is friction tape... its a chernobal gag.
I like how the FBI considers knowledge to be a threat
if you want an episode to react to, there's one where flanders (simpson's religious neighbour) can see people's deaths by touching them, and homer's death was supposed to be flanders shooting him, but they changed it and homer's death is because he does a nuclear explosion killing the whole town :p
It is absolutely staggering you have never watched Simpson episodes. Wow. Somewhere, Mat shed a tear. 🙂
I'd love to watch any movie with you, you're so fun and informative ❤️
the old guy is grand pa, and is in a lot of episodes
the picking up the 235 and also eating it is a spoof from I Love Lucy, from the very early 1960's. you would have not yet hatched to watch it.
the reference to room for one more, is from One Step Beyond, true stories of the unexplained. that statement, room for one more saved a young woman from death in the early to mid 1950's.
A PhD laughed at a pass wind joke 😆. That's why I come here your informative and have a sense of humour. 👍
the old man with glasses is homer’s dad, grandpa simpson, the two guys who hang around homer are named lenny and carl, the evil, bald, old, rich man is mr burns, and his assistant is smithers, who is gay and has a major crush on mr burns, but it is not reciprocated at all.
Yaaaaay girl got sponsorship. Hope to see many more to come and a lot of atomic YT success!
Eating the Uranium is homage to I LOVE LUCY, the candy conveyor belt.
I learnt some long words watching the simpsons , and glowing green gunge isnt just used as breakfast
"Sign up under a new mail".
Ha, I've used this one.
Need it twice a year for like a week. Not paying for that for an entire year when you can get a free 3 week trial.
The reference of Homer eating the uranium along the conveyor belt is from a famous episode of a very very old tv show called I Love Lucy. Lucy takes a job at a chocolate candy factory and can't fill the box quick enough as the pieces of chocolate come down the line, so she starts eating the pieces of chocolate. By today's standards it's probably not that hilarious, but it's considered a classic American tv comedy moment.
07:30 is a callback to the 'I Love Lucy' Job Switching (1952).
Just for context, Smithers is absolutely enthralled by Mr. Burns. He wants Mr. Burns, in more ways than one.
I mean... If Homer's brain is coal powered, couldnt he use the same steam turbine to power his brain as a nuclear reactor?
6:23 Grandpa is Homer's dad, the wife is Marge.
i love your channel! im currently a student studying particle physics hoping to work on the LZ experiment
I recommend the episode where Homer goes to college to take back the study about nuclear physics.
Hey Elina, I love your Simpsons reactions, and I would love it if you could react to these clips:
I can´t share the links, but the video titles are if you search for them on youtube -
-Homer Simpson becomes Frank Grimes' enemy (sulphuric acid)
-Frank Grimes - "Simpson You've got a Five Thirteen!!!"
-The Simpsons. Homer enemy
-The Simpsons: Frank Grimes Death + Funeral
They´re from the most popular episode “Homers Enemy” but warning: It get´s a little dark at the end.
I've seem the parachute actually do that with this older lady. In real life you can't jump without am instructor while you're still new. The instructor was able to put the chute back on her.
Not a Simpsons fan... but I am surrounded by fans, that watch it non stop... I think by this time I have seen the first 15 seasons more than once. It's really cute seeing your reaction for the first time :-) You may want to watch a few complete episodes so you can learn the names and characters. You may enjoy it more! Have a great 2023!
Wait. You've seen the first 15 seasons more than once, but you're NOT a Simpsons fan!? huh?
Awesome 😊
Best commercial for VPN: the FBI will lose track of you 💀
6:26 That is Homer Simpson's father, Abraham Simpson. I am an avid Simpsons watcher.
Have seen every single episode since the show began 1989 December, and the Tracey Ullman shorts from 1987-1989,
and I paid to see The Simpson Movie in the theater.
As funny and charming as you are smart (which is clearly saying something!), love these reactions!
Elina: Hey guys check out this neat party trick they teach us in University
Elina: *recreates the trinity test with her arms*
"What's the wife's name anyway?" - Poor Midge
Now Im feeling pretty old. She have never saw Simpsons Episode Before....and I watch it since the very first season 30-something years ago
At 15:33 Painting is reference to Putin
If you rent out the reactor core for weddings the bride can be glowing!
the old guys is homers dad, him picking the uranium by hand and eating it is a spoof of the I love Lucy chocolate factory scene (i think), and the explosion at the end is from a different episode iirc
I can say with 1zillion% certainty that I eat lard bread for lunch, so eating uranium isn't too big a deal.
8:32 Look! One left from the top right are the german businessmen from season 3
