Thank you. When I first got the project I wasn't sure how I would deal with it. Instead of having the orchestra "back them up", I made them all a member of the band, and I was pleasingly surprised by the way it turned out!
I am a singer/songwriter. Vocal harmonies are my specialty and I can tell you this is very very good. The guy singing the high harmony is incredible. Whether your a believer or not you have to appreciate the beauty of this piece. The orchestral arrangement is a fine piece of work. I am very moved by this.

I am not religious at all until I listen to this album! In my opinion Ricky Skaggs and his band are the cleanest, tightest show in the world, you won't find one better anyway. This kind of commitment to excellence is very hard to come by these days...especially in music.

You'd have to ask them, I wasn't there. I will say that a lot of these symphony players are pretty stoic, and many look down their noses at popular music. But I caught several members of the orchestra smiling, and the conductor Keith Lockhart looked like was having an especially good time!!

Each one of these guys were born with God given gifts you can't fake, you can't train, and the quality of their live performances are something that can't be reproduced in a recording studio.
!st of all...Someone mentioned that these guy's are master's of their instrument...As a bluegrass musician, I can testify for each one of those gentleman that they are master's of ALL "bluegrass" acoustic instrument's!..2ndly...The message that this group send's with each and every song is powerful and, has even gotten the attention of the non-believer. Blending them with the Boston Pops was ingenious! Thanks for posting!

Used to stand outside the window at my homeplace church on homecoming..the adults would be inside listening to downhome gospel...the songs would stop me in my tracks from... playing....This stopped me in my tracks today ...just like back then

Funny, the audience PAID to see this music...Bluegrassers get to play/hear this music, all over the country, at countless jams (house, city squares, etc) . And Ricky is just bringing the tradition we grassers enjoy to ya'll!!

Paul is AWESOME! Darrin is too, but Paul REALLY stands out in this song to me.
