Spring cubs are so darn cute! He definitely smelled them. He was following them. Gladd mama and babies got away. I thought brown bears weren't able to climb trees cuz of their weight. Yikes. 😬
That happening in my yard i don't know. must be an electric fence and usfull for keeping the bears from walking in to your grounds. But the weather looks so delitefull and must be so comfortable and dry . What do you get 2 months of summer about. Beautiful place to live and work.
The mother bear (and cubs) may also have been stressed by your presence nearby. She didn't seem relaxed to me at all (breathing, nervous smelling, body tension). You have no intention of harming oc, but does the bear understand that? Already stressed by the presence of another bear? Sorry for my comment, I'm certainly not a super specialist...but it could still be dangerous??
What a cool glimpse of what it's like to live there. Is that an electronic fence outside of your cabin? What do you think she was doing climbing the tree, sending the Cub's up further? Thanks for posting!
Yep, we have an electric bear fence around employee housing. I think 171 was nervous about a sub-adult that was hanging out through the woods beyond the cabin in the video; she's been VERY touchy about sub-adults being anywhere near her. That said, she's also been treeing her cubs for no discernible reason outside the lodge as well. She was definitely unhappy when she treed them in this video, though.
@@howlsthunder thanks for the info! It's a keeper of a video. Electric fence must be a big help keeping them a few feet away so they don't invite themselves in.
Google knows all….grizzley cub can be a variety of colors including brown, light brown and nearly black. Grizzley bear cubs can have different colors and sizes, even if they are siblings, due to different mating partners.
The straggler was a subadult, not the mother. I imagine any bear would be opportunistic. I know boars do not always eat coy/yearlings when they kill them.
Great video thanks for showing the whole story.
great video, such insightful narration, I would've had no idea otherwise!
Pine cone . Relish . Bark pepper . And cool spring water . Bear bed and breakfast.
How wonderful, thank you so much. Didn't realize they had cabins there
Employees have to stay somewhere. :D
Beautiful brown bear! Training and protecting the cubs very well! ❤️

Beautiful Bear. Doesn’t seem stressed out or agressive.
Those bears seem too accustomed to people. How does everyone stay safe there?
Beauty worthy of patience. Thank you

They are so beautiful
Thanks Kara!
That’s what a stressed grizzly mother looks like.
They're coastal brown bears be definition.
What a lovely place

Even before we had a gate they really never seemed interested in being in our housing area.
@@howlsthunderWow, subadult? That was a big subadult!
i bet you don't live on the grid way out there. do you have electric solar or?
The big bear is like " I still got it"🐻 LMAO
Amazing !
I thought this was a grizzly, a skinny one. And the treed cubs i thought were black bear cubs.

@@flopsymopsy7088 thank you for your info, i appreciate when i dont know, and someone clarifies. God bless you and your family.
Was that Grazer?
She looks kind of skinny.
This is how bears look in the spring. She's an especially small sow, too. She'll fatten up by fall, as they do. :)
Bears are not cuddly and cute, they will rip you apart in a heart beat!!
That’s for sure!
Is that the mother,or a stranger bear? Is it trying to murder the cubs?

Like 32 and Grazer's little one. 😢
Rest in peace, little cub of Grazer
@@hisservants8003 no that was the mother otherwise the bear wouldn’t be communicating with them
@@hisservants8003 or get that close the mom would never allow that to happen
I wish for ones lady's be quiet.
