Rachel Miner was such a good little actress. Billy/Vanessa, aww. My poor Bridget, cooped up in the attic all alone, trying to write a letter to her beloved aunt, not knowing what had happened.
I disagree. I think this was a turning point, for Blake. She stepped up, and took care of Michelle, while Ed was trying to figure out what to tell her, and, although Holly had every right to be upset, that Ross was now w/ Blake, this was a pivotal moment, for them, as well. Blake showed more maturity, than Holly, who was still feeling too sorry for herself, to be supportive, to Ed & Michelle, and Blake called her on it. Soon after, the former power-hungry b*tch, became a devoted wife & mother. Go figure, huh? ;)
In fact, Blake and Ross had the closest thing to a nuclear family. Although they would have problems and divorce and remarry, they never married other people after they got together and they never had kids with other people. They were always supportive of Ed and Michelle.
@Messylin There was a disconnect there and I'm sorry to say but I think some of it was because LK hadn't been on the show that long and thus didn't have a connection to the actors/characters. If Sherry were there for this story, I think it would have been different. It's not to knock Liz, it's just how it is (for me). Sherry's Blake had this vulnerabilty under a mask of bravado. The Blake/Ed connection was more "real" with Peter/Sherry.
Even separated you can feel the way Vanessa is drawing strength from Billy just being there.

the most amazing part of this storyline was how much of it was carried by a 13-year-old actress. rachel miner was just scary good here.
It was so shitty that they had Bridget cooped up in the attic when Mo died.
Jill Farren Phelps never lived this down. GL was never the same.
That was only one of them. Killing off Ross was another, but that was an effect of taking Jerry off contract.
the lights has not dimmed, it has been on permanant blackout since 2006.
Rachel Miner was perfect as Ed’s daughter, Bridget was Noah all over again, and Lizzie was the new Mindy
Doesn't Vanessa have a bigger delayed reaction in a later episode? Gonna find out, I guess!
Jenna and Michelle became friends a few months earlier. Did Jenna ever comfort Michelle when Maureen died?

devane85 I disagree I loved LK as Blake she was absolutely amazing and I think the chemistry was so on point with Ed
Michelle has no idea that Maureen has passed away..
Off topic here but Rachel Miner and Ashley Pelton totally looked like Peter Simon and Robert Newman’s daughters
This is GOOD TV
God, Blake is SO inappropriate trying to be bright and bubbly for Michelle before she finds out the dreadful news.
