With exams, a school trip to Paris and prom on the horizon, Nick, Charlie and the gang must navigate the next stages of life, love and friendship.
A lot of people talk about how perfect Nick is, but Charlie deserves just as much praise as Nick, he's caring, understanding, sweet, patient. He was there for Nick during his self-discovering process, not only did he not judge him, but he also gave Nick enough time to process his emotions and take it one step at a time. Charlie is also boyfriend goals.
Charlie beats out most of the "interesting" characters I have dated, that is for sure!
In Tori's words: "He nicest person in history of the universe". He is that kind and patient and loving that he buries his own pain and trauma just to make sure everything is perfect for Nick.
@@Linyenwa Word. Charlie is a gentle soul, selfless and kind. He'd literally go out of his way just to make sure those close to him aren't hurting. Not everybody is like that.
Charlie Spring is peak boyfriend. He hosts all of their friends so that if things go badly when Nick comes out to his oldest friend, Nick has most of his support system there - not just for the evening but all night because it’s a sleepover. He selflessly tells him not to continue coming out since he can tell it’s too hard on Nick. He shoves Harry and tells him off to stand up for Nick, despite his severe PTSD, from being bullied by people exactly like him. He comes with him to meet up with his estranged father, and even offers to stand off to the side in case it makes Nick more comfortable. He goes to the dinner party at Nicks house despite David (a likely trigger for his PTSD) being there to support Nick coming out to his dad. And he sits with Nick to read all the comments on his coming out post, so Nick doesn’t have to do it alone. It’s no wonder Nick is so head over heels for him. ❤

@@sunburst6598 I didn’t believe relationships like this could exist at all, and for some they give me hope that even if it’s rare, it’s possible. It’s just a show about LGBTQ+ teenagers and I’m a cis het woman in her late 20s. But these two give me hope 💙💛
@@sunburst6598 actually we watch lot of red flags or toxic relationship in other series for extra drama but this type of relationship just make us feel happy and smiling the whole time 😭🤧

Their relationship has really matured from the schoolboy romance we saw in Season 1 to something alot more mature and complicated. Yet it is still adorable

@@dilsedesi1704same here. Charlie is so bloody sweet. And I loved seeing him crush on nick so obviously in season one. He even apologised for kissing him and was very understanding towards nick for the whole of season one and two. I need more of nick and Charlie! Two seasons is NOT enough..... I also loved seeing Charlie be a bit more confident in season two.

I really love seeing all the appreciation and recognition of Joe's Charlie portrayal. While Nick loves so loudly with his heart on his sleeve and in his eyes, Charlie is in a lot of ways more quiet to the point of quieting his own trauma, partly even triggered by what Nick's potentially could be going through, but there are hints of this, they are just very subtle but amazingly well acted by Joe, in my opinion.
I cannot believe Heartstopper is his ever first professional acting job. Will never get tired of Kit calling him a natural pro - and Joe calling him an old pro. What a duo on screen!
And Charlie stayed true to his word. He was THERE for Nick. Every step of the way. He literally made himself available for everyone while battling so much. His acting and character development this season is ACE. His last conversation with Nick made me share a tear or two. Both of them just break hearts.
It was a good season.
I know season 2 just came out but I really want season 3 like now 💙💛

I'm soo happy that Joe Locke is getting the appreciation that he deserves.... My God, he has done a phenomenal job playing Charlie and Charlie is such a great boyfriend... I'm loving the fact that people are finally catching up what a great person Charlie is and how much Joe is putting into making this character as adorable and mature as possible... Waiting for more clips and interviews like these💖✨

I’ve already commented twice, but I have to again. EVERYONE should take notes from Nick and Charlie about how to communicate and truly care for the feelings of people you love. They talk things out soooo quickly and check in with each other so much that nothing ever becomes a problem.
Like in the first clip (before what’s shown in the video), Charlie tells Nick that they should put pause on their plan to come out before Paris. Before fully agreeing, Nick checks in with Charlie like THREE times and Charlie says yes snd explains why. But what’s most poignant is when Nick asks if he’s sure, Charlie admits that he just wants everyone to know that Nick is his boyfriend. And that’s that. All issues out in the open, feelings cared for, needs met, perspectives listened to, compromise found. I. Love. Them.

Sorry, in real life I tried that a few times, in my circles I was just a weirdo. Around me, people do not discuss things, they take them as they are and judge (others, of course). This is a dream, a beacon of high communication for me. And I naturally do it too. Problems are talked about when they are solved, traumas when you are able to joke about them, feelings if they are positive and fit the situation.

Joe and Kit’s chemistry this season is INSANE! Idk where it came from but it wasn’t as intense last season for sure!

Season 2 was masterful programme making, funny, touching. Just wonderful. Superb acting and storytelling and some truly exceptional moments. Loved it, start to finish.

I think when you read the books it dives a lot deeper in the storyline than the TV series but the TV series focuses on all the characters but I love both the TV series and the books I love heartstopper so much
Yeah I love that the show has something that the books don't have and the books have something that the show doesn't have. Together they make a fuller Heartstopper experience.

Nick is so amazing, he always looks out for Charlie, helps him out, and is just so smiley and cuddly and amazing, and Charlie is so sweet, he's so gentle and caring, and he supported Nick through his journey of self discovery and have him all the time he needed. I’m OBSESSED with the way Kit Connor plays Nick’s obliviousness to everyone’s awe that he speaks French. He’s so nonchalant about it and really just want to gets to the point, but everyone stops and is like “FRENCH?!” and he just goes “Yeah my dad is French so anyway -“ 😂

Schools these days need to have monitors and cameras in all the hallways so they can watch and know what is going on and their schools so many kids get picked on and it hurts deeply it strikes kids to the core so hopefully your show makes a difference I hope so
