    The same thing happened to me when the sds agitator touched the rad. Now I wrap the agitator in 2 rags to cushion the harshness of the sds attachment

    I joined Bristan recently, very handy! Last thing you want to do running around for matching tap glands.

    Agreed mate do the job properly or don’t do it at all, from a OAP who is still working at 68yrs old and is still my philosophy 😊 started in this industry when I was 16yrs old love watching your videos.

      Cheers Tony! Yeah I'm getting a lot of it at the mo, even other engineers just getting me in on their jobs to just do the flushing. Can't complain, the machine does the job well!

    Always kept my socket set in the van with me, not just for tap cartridges, used on boilers and loads of other things. Socket sets aren’t just for mechanics

    I had exactly the same when I was using a rubber mallet, luckily it was in the kitchen with hard floor & no carpet. Rad valve olive had been put on incorrectly on install

    As you going round tighten up as you turning off rad. The drill is the best way though. Sometimes just a magnacleanse is enough.

    I keep an old huge magnet in the van for agitating, wrap a rag around it to stop it sticking to rad.

    I had a similar experience i was doing a magnacleanse it was a push fit under a floor😅 it took me an extra 2 hour to sort it.

    17mm long impact socket for tap cartridges onto the impact driver and 19mm for stop tap heads saves time and your knuckles

    Question.!when you commented on could have had a 30 kw boiler instead if the 24. I know you get a better hot water flow rate out of the 30 kw but I also thought we shouldn't be oversizing boilers like we did in the past as the new condensing boilers go Into condensate mode aBout 60 deg and putting a bigger boiler in than required makes the boiler cycle more and not get into the economy of condensing mode enough ?? I also thought it was against regulations now just to install the biggest boiler in on a job ? Serious question .loving the videos .keep them coming

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  Рік тому +3

      You can range rate most of the newer boilers on the heating side which means if you have the correct incoming flow rate for hot water then you can put in boiler sized to match that and then range rate it down on the heating depending on the size of the system so it will still work efficiently overall and deliver the hot water flow rate as required 👍🏾

      @@cputilitysolutions so see what water pressure and water flow in the property .Work out what kw heating is required and adjust the heating on the gas valve to suit the kw needed ?cheers for the answer

      I charge £500+vat for up to 10 rads on a sealed system. Additional £100+vat if it's open vented to make the necessary adjustments with the F&E tank. £50+vat for every additional rad over 10 rads. Includes flushing chemicals and any fittings required if I need to cut in flushing points, etc
