Lots of big brothers are there in web who are try to teach angular Js, but every one consume time to describe there own pride and value [ How good they are in angular] , in between main learning thing get lost, Only I can say you try to teach the concept very crystal clear and very specific , One simple word , GREAT. I am watching every Angular Js [1.x] post. I will also watch your Angular 2 series, Great work, keep posting.
Hat's off to u Sir to explain the topic in such a way that anybody can understand , please make tutorial video on Angular promise and Unit testing in Angular JS and really waiting for Angular 2.
awesome tutorials... just one thing to say...I have noticed one thing if any scope variable is not changed during first digest cycle..second iteration will not happen...
at 18.25 seconds, you said that ng-click actually triggered $apply. But I believe that's not the right example for this case as, $scope.a is also on the same level and $digest could have done the same thing is called within the ng-click.
I dont get why in real situations we would do something like this outside of angular scope. Looks hacky. And also why .htm and not .html ? :) this extention constantly grabs my attention :)
Thanks Penugonda! If I understand you correctly, we did not publish Routing in Angular, yet. Will you be able to clarify a bit more on your question? Thanks.
$apply vs $digest we care when using outside of angular context. What if we use ng-click - and we know that we need update only one scope? We dont manually choose $apply vs $digest. Does it choose it automatically?
Hello sir, thank you for these great tutorials. Your website is down i think. Can you give me access to ppts that you used in videos? I can use them as notes. Thanks 🙏
Can you please teach us about $location service? My application uses # in URLS, and it has lots of nested states using UI Router. My browser becomes blank of I refresh it while being in a child state. I also want to remove # from URLs using html5Mode but I don't understand how to do that?
Hi, Could you please explain why this case, $apply does not work. When I paste "123456789", input field shows "12345678" and value of model is 123456789. Thank you. myApp.directive("msg1", [ "$timeout", function($timeout) { return { require: "ngModel", link: function(scope, elem, attrs, ngModel) { angular.element(elem).on( paste: function() { self = $(this); $timeout(function(){ //ngModel.$setViewValue(self.val().substr(0, 8)); //ngModel.$render(); self.val(self.val().substr(0, 8)); scope.$apply(); }); } }); } } }]);
