There might be parts in X3 that are harder (e.g. having to climb the jagged wall after beating Sigma), but X6 had far and away more traps that could kill you in an instant.
You do know that Isoc, the guy who's working with Gate, IS Dr. Wily right friendo? True, the way he stated it was wrong due to him making Wily sound like the main villain, but he's still there.
Wily being in ANY of the X games is fan speculation and he might not show up because 5 was intended to be the final X game. If he was in the series pertaining to his interaction in 5 then he would've shown up before 5 considering that there was nothing planned beyond it. Either way, there's no way to say if he even showed up at all in X. Could've just been as simple as Wily having put his consciousness into the Zero/Sigma/Maverick virus (which is actually one of the explanations given before).
So I started playing this particular game today. I've been playing through the X series for the past two months and I've loved every game I've played so far. Even X5 despite it's shortcomings. But this one? This one's just a mess. A horrible, unbalanced experience that's got terrible stage design that infuriates rather than legitimately challenges. Also it fucks with any of the impact X5's ending had by reviving Zero and having Sigma come back for the end of the game just for the sake of maintenance of the status-quo. There are just too many things that piss me off here. A fact that's scary to me given that I've heard X7 is even worse.
+GreenTengu97 Avoid X7 at all costs, if you want to experience it, look at ProJared's review. X6 is bad, very bad but some hardcore X fans enjoy how insanely difficult it is. X7 is just bad, all bad, all the time. Nothing redeeming about it in any regard. X8 some say is fun, I didn't get much enjoyment out of it but it is far, far, FAR superior to X7
Well even Keiji Inafune planned for 5 to be the finale, Capcom went ahead and made 6 behind his back. Even though he didn't have any say in the matter, that doesn't mean that previous ideas from the series weren't implemented. The whole Wily being hinted at in 5 could've been the whole reason Isoc was created for X6. Speculation is speculation regardless. You are right that they never actually say if Wily's even in the X series, but you cannot deny that the likeness with Isoc and Wily is scary.
Well Sigma having met Wily in 5 would make it so that Wily being in 6 would make somewhat sense. Why hint to that and then not have him ever show up? Also, Wily being in X2 is just fan speculation. It is thought by some people that the X-Hunters are the different parts of Wily's consciousness, but this as far as I've seen is never confirmed or even hinted at aside from Serges slightly resembling Wily, and I've 100%ed X2 several times.
Never directly, but seriously friendo. Read his dialogue in Zero's playthrough. He practically oozes "I'm Dr. Wily I created you Zero." It's not hard to notice trust me.
Id rather they just make one really good final installment for all platforms that ties up the loose ends between the X and Zero series and maybe explains why model A is so similar to axl
Falcon's armor has really bad charged shot. X without armor has weak defense and no air dash, but his charged shot more than enough to make up for it. But really, both X and Falcon's suck in this game, i usually try to unlock Zero and other armors ASAP
...what likeness? And this is Capcom we're talking about. They're crap at stories on their own. That "Zero coming back in 6" is proof enough of that for that game.
Alright broskii, if you disagree with the likenesses that's fine. I'm not gonna talk about the issue anymore because I would just be wasting my time as well as yours. Let's just agree to disagree. I think Isoc is Wily, you don't. Whatevs.
I didn't really say anything positive about X-7 in that comment. I actually took the rest of the comment space to bitch about it. But yeah, that' pretty much what I would of said if I had more then 500 characters. xP
Sure he did. Isoc's "hair" is simply robotic. The mustach is replaced with a metal one, and the staple Wily hair is present in that pill lookin thing on his head. If you just picture Wily as a robot and take his hair away(because for some reason Zero is the only male reploid with hair)and replace it with robotic equivalents, than he looks like a robo Wily. I'm somewhat confused here friendo. What are you not seeing? Not meaning to insult, I just don't get how you don't see it while I do.
X 6 is so far my favorite. X 5 is cool too, only if you know how to play it right you'll get the good ending. If you play X 6 correctly, you'll get Zero back early too. Plus, love X's armors.
Well X6 has broken and cheap level design, mavericks that were as easy as the stages were hard, horrible story, bosses unbeatable without a special weapon, grammatical errors, horrible design where you need a part to get something but wouldn't know about it, awful nightmare system, annoying instant kill obstacles that love to get in your face and directly translated maverick names. It does have an awesome soundtrack and good looking graphics (which don't mean shit when the darkness nightmare effect is on) though.
@emucosmos The old X games were hard though. And playing as Zero is also kinda risky since he is more exposed... I remember I could never beat Sigma on 1-3 T_T I sucked hahaha
I agree with you on X6, but not so on X7. It was BAD, REALLY BAD, but had redeeming features - good mix of 2D and 3D, and Axl (gameplay wise, he's excellent with the copy ability and the no-ammo consuming weapons) as well as the 1st stage, Gungaroo and Crow themes. However... the camera was retarded, having no X for half the game sucked, reploid placement was sadistic, the bosses were forgettable and so was every song not mentioned above. Oh and... BURN TO THE GROUND BURN BURN TO THE GROUND!!1!
Isoc acts just like Wily and looks like a robotic version of him. And yes, while I agree that Capcom is shit with story-telling that doesn't make the results any less canon when they make decisions. If you don't see the resemblance with Isoc and Wily, that's cool bro. you don't have to agree with me, I just feel that my reasoning is sound and has logic backing it. I put two and two together based on the info the game provided and got my answers. Disagree if you wish friendo. It's just my theory.
i have this game and it kinda sucks falcon suit has all the upgrades but the megabuster is a piece of shit and when charged just shoots a thin line , if you are thinking about playing this game just hit your thumb with a hammer instead it will be less aggravating ...
X - Fucking amazing X2 - Boring and too easy X3 - Good but everyone is way to cheap without their weaknesses save a few, plus...fuck Sigma in that game. X4 - Beat it in one day without using any weaknesses and without any armor parts...fun game but god damn is it easy. X5 - Tied with 1 and 8 as favorite. The armors, powers, story, awesome. X6 - Broken. I beat it in under an hour. Fucking broken. Only good things, better Zero than in 4 and 5, and the music. X7 - Bland. X8 - How X in 3D should be.
@emucosmos ninja gaiden is a victim of bad design choices as well if the original is what you're talking about. That's why it is so "hard" so to speak. Megaman X6 doesn't just "feel" wrong, it's just wrong. Take the nightmare system. It is very inconsistent to how it's actually supposed to work. Even when a stage is not highlighted in red, sometimes it will STILL be affected by the nightmare effect, which is retarded. Also The second to last boss makes me want to kick kittens.
@emucosmos *BUZZER* I don't mean to offend you good sir, but you are SO wrong. "Megaman X6" and "easy" are two things that don't go together in a sentence. The game has INCREDIBLY bad design choices for the levels and the nightmare system. It's not just a hard game, it's unfair-ably hard because this game SUCKS.
@Wexter0083 This Review feels more like a first impressions then a review. It seems like he just put the game in the PlayStation and played for 30 min then recorded the review. I Love the X franchise so to me this review feels like its insulting my intelligence.
Let's put this to rest: X6 is a rushed game. It's a good X game as long as you ignore the flaws (I'm looking at you Sigma 6). I liked it and felt quite accomplished when I beat that hard bugger. Personally, X7 is the worst X game I've played. The only 3D MM game that I can honestly say did 3D right for the Blue Bomber is the Legends games. I would call this a decent review since he didn't mention the apparent flaws, but that just means he enjoyed the games despite them.
@KriegKadaver How about the fact he only covered the basics of Megaman X not X6. Nor did he go over the abilities if the various suits. Such as that the Shadow suit is the first upgrade that allows X to walk over spikes. or the fact that Zero has a different combat feel from X or the many Easter eggs the fact that Willy was never confirmed to have made the virus. or how Gate is the villein of the game. Don't think that I am saying this because I hate Eric he has made good review this is not one.
It's incredibly rushed and usually criticized for it's poor and cheap design. I do think there are some actual good aspects of the game such as some kick ass bosses, very fun game-play, and awesome sound tracks. But the design just about kills it. Not only that the story is not even engaging in the slightest. Not as bad as X-7 IMO though. Horrible voice acting, gameplay is just generic, the courses are blah, unskipable cut-scenes are way too long, and pretty much bastardize X as a character.
Funny enough I also liked it quite a bit. The music of this game is absolutely amazing, one of the best soundtracks on the whole X serie so that is probably its draw for me... Even if the game itself is a bit of a mess XD
Don't you mean Sigma? Dr Wily is long dead in the X series.
blue cheese cult go watch X4's cutscenes and let me remind you, Zero was made by wily
the levels are not randomized. if you played the game you would know that
There might be parts in X3 that are harder (e.g. having to climb the jagged wall after beating Sigma), but X6 had far and away more traps that could kill you in an instant.
Nightmare effect is not randomized. It is based on which stages you've completed and when.
I thinks it’s about a few centuries late here for X to bring Wily to justice
And what of Sigma apparently having met Wily in X5 or the hints of the doctor in X2?
Why Are The Colors So Washed Out?
You do know that Isoc, the guy who's working with Gate, IS Dr. Wily right friendo? True, the way he stated it was wrong due to him making Wily sound like the main villain, but he's still there.
Cause the hair shapes look nothing like his, nor does Issoc have Wily's chin.
@DragONheart27X Ah, but theories do suggest that Isoc in X6 is in fact Dr. Wily himself.
This game is EXTREMELY hard. If it wasn't for the unlimited continues and checkpoints, it would be next to impossible to beat.
Wily being in ANY of the X games is fan speculation and he might not show up because 5 was intended to be the final X game. If he was in the series pertaining to his interaction in 5 then he would've shown up before 5 considering that there was nothing planned beyond it. X8 some say is fun, I didn't get much enjoyment out of it but it is far, far, FAR superior to X7
Now see, I know exactly what I'm getting myself into already. I've seen the video you're talking about.
+GreenTengu97 Well then ...I suggest you bring a vomit bag JUST in case.
Yeah, the PSone MMX titles were rather disappointing. By the time you hit the PS2 era games, your expectations are set pretty low.
The PS1 games had a steady decline. 4 was fantastic, 5 was okay, and 6 was bile.
uh do you guys even know the x series storyline? it's like 100 years in the future
My first Megaman X game, yeah is kinda difficult if you play with X, but using Zero would make the experience a lot easier (platform and bossfights)
Well even Keiji Inafune planned for 5 to be the finale, Capcom went ahead and made 6 behind his back. Even though he didn't have any say in the matter, that doesn't mean that previous ideas from the series weren't implemented. You are right that they never actually say if Wily's even in the X series, but you cannot deny that the likeness with Isoc and Wily is scary.
They've never said how Wily interacts with characters in X.
I remember the music being abso-fucking-lutely awesome in this.
what happened to good music in games?
Never directly, but seriously friendo. Read his dialogue in Zero's playthrough. He practically oozes "I'm Dr. Wily I created you Zero." It's not hard to notice trust me.
Id rather they just make one really good final installment for all platforms that ties up the loose ends between the X and Zero series and maybe explains why model A is so similar to axl
When I played I personally did not find any of those bugs and I feel that this game should be given to beginners
@WebVMan as an alcoholic, i am offended by your comment, but I'll forget about it when I get wasted tonight.
No! No! NO! Dr. Wily cannot be brought to justice anymore in the X games, he was MIA for YEARS. The real culprit as we all know is SIGMA.
In other words, the game sucks, and I agree. It is the worst Mega Man X game ever.
Mega Man X5 was supposed to be the last game of the X series... until Capcom went and did this game without the consent of Keiji Inafune. Fact!
Falcon's armor has really bad charged shot. X without armor has weak defense and no air dash, but his charged shot more than enough to make up for it. But really, both X and Falcon's suck in this game, i usually try to unlock Zero and other armors ASAP
but you can use the Z Saber trick to kill sigma fast enough
Whoever is playing the game sucks at it. He gets hit by EVERYTHING!
OMG, the guy playing in the video is really REALLY bad.
...what likeness? And this is Capcom we're talking about. They're crap at stories on their own. That "Zero coming back in 6" is proof enough of that for that game.
Not to sound like an angry fanboy but Dr Wily isn't even alive in the X series, unless dr wily came back to life and you have to fight zombie Wily
But yeah, that' pretty much what I would of said if I had more then 500 characters. xP
Damn it Capcom you shouldn't have made this game. I would have said that if X8 hadn't been made.
those zero phantom ghosts. oh my FUCKING god...
Sure he did. Isoc's "hair" is simply robotic. The mustach is replaced with a metal one, and the staple Wily hair is present in that pill lookin thing on his head. OMG ! I'm a Megaman fan boy !
Eric, I want a review of Megaman X3 ! the best in the series IMO !
X 6 is so far my favorite. X 5 is cool too, only if you know how to play it right you'll get the good ending. If you play X 6 correctly, you'll get Zero back early too. Plus, love X's armors.
WHY ARE MEGA MAN GAMES SO FUCKING HARD DAMN
seriously, i swear its impossible to beat the end of MMX1
I raged when he said Wily was the villain in this game
i loved the ninja armor in this game , i found every other armor type as well
Play as Zero in Gate`s Stage = HELL
I'm not a Mega Man fan, but I knew the game before you said it's name... cause.. well it's sort of in the title.
its easy, the one i have most trouble with is X4 at the sigma stages
This is what my beloved Mega Man X series has turned into? For shame -_-
@wexenhex
Lots of older games make Mega Man X1 seem like a cakewalk
The creater didnt make this games. It was someone else who has not have a clue of what mega man is.
Seems fitting that this guy’s review was barely paying attention to details
Most of this review could be copy/pasted onto X1, and even then some of it would still be wrong.
need more mega man on the wii mega man 5 and mega man x on the snes asap!
Yeah, we get it. You saw Clement's LP of the game. Try having an original thought for once.
@emucosmos The old X games were hard though. And playing as Zero is also kinda risky since he is more exposed... I remember I could never beat Sigma on 1-3 T_T I sucked hahaha
Dr willy is dead by now.
@FlamingAhura It's TRUE.
mmx9?
I have played them all Megaman, Megaman X, Megaman EXE,Megaman StarForce, Megaman Z, Megaman ZX, Megaman Legends!!!!!

Oh and...
BURN TO THE GROUND BURN BURN TO THE GROUND!!1!
Boss music = Epic!
want to make the game even more challengin?
unlock Zero and then complete the game as him.
oh.. and IMO Zero>X
Isoc acts just like Wily and looks like a robotic version of him. And yes, while I agree that Capcom is shit with story-telling that doesn't make the results any less canon when they make decisions. Megaman X is from 1993
X - Fucking amazing
X2 - Boring and too easy
X3 - Good but everyone is way to cheap without their weaknesses save a few, plus...fuck Sigma in that game.
X4 - Beat it in one day without using any weaknesses and without any armor parts...fun game but god damn is it easy.

Megaman and Samus should make love to each other.

PsychoticSaiyan10 I agree but I didn't like X2 and X3.

@Biznatch255 Agreed.
A lot of you info is wrong. Check you Facts
@Biznatch255 I think I like the 3rd most of all. 2 is a second, and 5 is my third favorite.

Mega Man? Mega Man?? MEGA MAN?!!!! YES YES YES!!!!
@theanjo Really? I found X5 and X8 to be the easiest by far.
@Shimcomaru word!
How's he look like Wily? Wily never even had hair like him.
+LinkXMidnaFTW I agree completely.
WEEK review, you barley scratched the surfaces of the game.
@Vietminh293 not worth the punishment imo
nightmare system: completely unfair
also, grammatical errors in the story!
i am a megaman junky as you can tell
It's incredibly rushed and usually criticized for it's poor and cheap design. I do think there are some actual good aspects of the game such as some kick ass bosses, very fun game-play, and awesome sound tracks. But the design just about kills it. X3 is harder...this one's simple.
OMG I WANT A NEW MEGAMANX! ITS BEEN YEARS! T_T *Sniff*
left,left,left,right
MMX6 is like the guy who washes the jockstraps. X6 is the worst in the series
This is the worst Mega Man X game
Mega Man X6 is bad but in a strange way, I like it because it's bad.
Funny enough I also liked it quite a bit. The music of this game is absolutely amazing, one of the best soundtracks on the whole X serie so that is probably its draw for me... Even if the game itself is a bit of a mess XD
@Biznatch255 X 123 easy onld mega man hard (nes)
Can someone explain why this is the most hated in the X series?
@WebVMan hi webvman
I dont like megaman X6 and im a big megaman fan.
cool review
i love MM games but i hate X6 i hate it even more than X7... and i hate X7 ALOT
@wexenhex hadouken
that was far from thrash metal.
This game was awesome!
