Do you really not know that Sensei's Top and either of the two Keys is 1 generic to draw a card? 1: Tap Sensei's Top - HOLD PRIORITY; Sensei's ability on the stack 2: UN-tap Sensei's Top, resolve it; Sensei's ability still on the stack 3: Tap the same Sensei's Top again; 2 tap abilities from the same Top on the stack What happens now? 1: 1st ability resolves as it usually does: Draw a card an put Top from the battlefield on top of you library 2: 2nd ability resolves: Draw a card (Sensei's top, unless you activated Sensei's reordering ability between the 2 tap abilities of course) and put something that's not on the battlefield anymore (i.e. nothing) on top of your library 3: You can now replay Top, which makes this infinite with something like Paradox Engine (btw Engine plus Time Vault? Anyone? Hello?) so I really don't understand the purpose of Mightstone and Weakstone here but hey - it's not the first time a net deck is suboptimal (please dear lord don't tell me it's a 5 mana draw 2 with the """"upside"""" of a high CMC for the main combo piece of this deck)
Day 2 of pestering/pleading: would you ever be willing to try out canadian highlander? its one of my favorite formats and id love to see which lists youd play first

Wait a minute couldn't one also use stuff like coveted jewel and sculpting steel to have that cheese in here as well??! I mean there is already the might/meekstone so like you could double down on bomb cards that just go off
You can, but you're making your deck worse. You want mostly 0's, 1's, and 2's to hit off Vat. Mightstone serves a specific flexibility, drawing cards when you need it, and killing Collector Ouphe, a major format player, when you need to. Other than that you want cheap cards
If you think that then you've never played against workshop decks that went turn one workshop, mox, lodestone, turn 2 workshop, lodestone, sphere of resistance, turn 3 crucible+Wasteland/Strip mine. Shops was like 30-50% of the metagame for years until they hit it with multiple restrictions... Trinisphere, Lodestone Golem, Thorn of Amethyst, Chalice of the Void, Mystic Forge, and Karn the Great Creator all paid for Workshop's sins, and all of those except 3ball were in the last several years since Vintage came to mtgo
As a 4 of it's WAY too strong. With 4 Lodestone Golem and stuff like workshop and the broken artifact mana you could literally just mull into it and literally just give 'em the "GG, shake my hand" on turn 1 unless they have a force.
Personally for game 2 I would have plus targeting your own crypt as you had at least 1 activation and draw of top. But either way your playing with probibibility

Smelting Vat was designed specifically for Commander (it's from the Brother's War Commander set) but it's cool to see it doing stuff in Vintage.

There’s a lot of cards designed for commander that see play in eternal formats. Like Minsc and Boo is insane in legacy

Well that's a commander card, not a standart card.
It's really annoying how many cards there are that seem like they are in Standard-legal sets but aren't legal in Standard.
