My childhood venue many times going down Elizabeth Street in the 50's/60's.. Before one gets to the Majestic Theater the old HEB Food Store was on the right with parking and the Sears store was across the street. Next to the HEB food store was "Fishers Café" before getting to the beautiful Majestic Theater with its carpeted spiral stairway to the balcony. Across the street from the Majestic Theater was the Brownsville Post Office along with the Federal Court House. Besides the Majestic Theater is the "Kress" five & dime store next to the courthouse that are still there !
