Thank you for this bro. Am a sprout but really getting into PVP and your guides are honestly the only ones that make sense! Best wishes and have a wonderful day! (: SUBSCRIBED! +1
You mentioned in position and out of position. Where are the best places to be as a White mage? And when should I shift from casual to pvp as far as skill wise.
Good questions! For the first, generally you always want to be out of the fray, so when dashing in to support/deal damage/heal, look for a way to safety behind your team after you cast! This is known as retreating to the backline, and can generally be achieved by running somewhere behind the point you're currently pushing. (Your team is pushing the point afterall right..? .. right..?) For the second question, whenever you feel comfortable to do so! You'll become more used to things as you recognize the types of plays that can be made with your team comp vs their team comp and what dangers you should generally watch out for (Like uh oh they got a monk and he's probably gonna punch me a lot ._.). Just remember to always have fun and try to learn from every match on the way up! Good luck!
"And I've experienced many many white mages" - literally everyone who tries FFXIV PvP For real, coming from lots of time as Sage then some dabbling in Reaper, trying out WHM feels like the devs were running an experiment in cramming as many "win" buttons into one class as possible.
I appreciate how you let us know when and how often we would use certain skills 🤜🤛
Thanks for the guide, very much appreciated!
I hope it helped! Good luck out there!!
