Airplane mechanic here. Since you were wondering what those vents were on the bottom of the 777 It’s the blead air from the APU. It’s not actually exhaust, it’s heated air from the compression stage. It’s used to drive a fan that brings in outside air for the A/C and heating systems while on the ground. Also during winter months it makes for a great space heater.

Ayoo Alpha quick tip! When switching on the hydraulics you want to do that by following a counterclockwise “C” pattern. So when looking directly at the panel, you first select R elec to auto, after that you go on to both (C2 then C1) Elec switches and switch those to auto, and after that you’d turn L elec and the rest of the C1 and C2 switches to auto. Preciate the vid and glad you’re back!

Hey Alpha, noticed you apply manual braking really early after touch down. I'd wait with that until you're at maybe 70-60 knots and that should help slowing down a lot more I reckon!
I normally do but if you see closely the auto brakes disarmed themselves for some weird reason haha

When u do the reversers punch the throttle to max so they are reversing at max throttle and not idle that may be why
I try that but it then goes into normal thrust but in the pmdg 737 it works fine

Try using auto break 2 or 3 or even max auto break if it’s not stopping enough with 1
Can confirm, Dubai is an amazing departure, little over a month a flew in from Manchester on an a380 and then departed on a 777 to Colombo (Sri Lanka) flew over the northern coast over those palms, simply majestic looking

If you want to go to dubai go to south dubai it’s not as nice as burj Khalifa but it’s nice and fun there is many malls and shopping and some hotels

I believe the two different ATISs, A and D, were for Arrival and Departure. I think large airports use two different ones so as not to overload pilots with information they don't need

Hey just letting you know it looks like your auto brake switched itself to “disarm” on touchdown which is probably why you’ve been overrunning, you might have a hardware control interfering with it. Either way great video, keep it up!

So, after investigating your last two 777 videos, I noticed what your problem might be. I think you might need to adjust the sensitivity of your brake pedals because on both this flight and your flight into Amsterdam I can see that your autobrakes switch into DISARM mode. I think it is happening when you inadvertently touch the brakes ever so slightly while using your rudder. Granted not getting reverse thrust in Amsterdam didn't help either but on both landings your autobrakes revert to disarm. Hope that helps.. Cheers

If you are looking for something to do while waiting for pushback, you should try to read the airport briefing, sometimes it have interesting things, for example when you are not allowed to use reverse thrust.

@@AlphaOriginals i believe it was supposed to drop a couple weeks after it dropped on PC but pmdg might be having some problems. I prefer it dropping late but being optimized to perfection rather than it being a frame killer tho
