@frankwhite_103 2 new belts and a shot at being undisputed in a 3rd division in 3 or 4 fights, or leaping straight into the Canelo fight is. Boots is a great fighter, but he has nothing to offer Bud unless he chases him down in which case it'll be a blockbuster.

This is not a shot at Boots, just strictly providing my opinion on what Cody said. I am not liking this new wave of fighters taking subliminal shots at the top guys and providing misinformation. They didn't move up to avoid Boots. They moved up because they accomplished everything they needed at 147. Boots know that as well as his pops. They have said on multiple occasions. Boots has next and I look forward to watching him take over the sport. I can say that while simultaneously acknowledging that Bud, Spence and them don't owe Boots shit. They have their own mountains they are still trying to conquer and no offense to Cody but he's a journeyman compared to the elites such as Boots, Bud, Ortiz and all them cats so lets not pretend we giving out participation points now bc that is what he is essentially wanting respect for.
