The opening scene...now I imagine that John Newland probably couldn't go anywhere without people coming up to him with their stories! It would make a good Carol Burnett skit...in every restaurant, the grocery store, the taxi driver...with stories of the supernatural! 😏
I know they said he was rich but dude must have been *filthy rich* to live 8 years straight in a hotel drinking whisky all day long on a tropical island.

Are you really trying to make something out of nothing, you do know that he was not referring to the controversial corona virus vaccine but the ROUTINE vaccinations against Polio, Rubella, Smallpox, Tetanus and Measles. All or most of which you too have likely received as a child.
Good Episode of a thought provoking series. The one thing I find frustrating is the way the Male in each story acts so aggresively towards everyone when confronted by a strange situation. Perhaps it's an American thing but they would possibly get a better insight by not shouting at everyone. Not just this episode but nearly all.
Especially the one where the aviator crashed in the desert. His face was bandaged, and he was an absolute as* to the medical staff. It was actually embarrassing as he was being tended to by Brits, normally polite and forthright people. He was American and way rude.
It might be a example of fear of the unknown that likes to manifest with anger. I love how these old episodes give insight to human behavior that strikes us to our core and outer limits.
John Newland was a very easygoing and relaxed fellow deep and caring as you could possibly meet

He waited for eight years! Eight years and if he had waited just one more day she would have appeared to him. Eight years and a day!
One of the best episodes ..........Love can kill . thank you for sharing .
Or the lack thereof.
Wow this was the best story I've heard on this show yet!

Even at 1,000 a week for 8 years would have only been only $416,000 Not and excessive amount.
It is an excessive amount for the liver.
liver damage from alcohol poisoning? Why didn't he invest in the hotel?

I LOVE JOHN NEWLAND !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Such an interesting episode of One Step Beyond
Sometimes "why" is not the right question. Sometimes why answers itself in ways we do not understand yet
TYRONE watching as usual 😊😊
Newland had a easy demeanor and panache and the ability to scare you at the same time
Did I literally just hear him say I want to know when you were vaccinated😢

We aren't really like that, some are but I ,for one, never act that way.

the women too react by screaming. I think its reacting in fear of not being believed by others and fear of not understanding. Good observation 👍🏼.
Ghosts are sometimes….dreams….that appear utterly real….and suddenly…..are gone….when you…..wake up….😔
I had a magnificently real dream the other night, about my 19 year-old girlfriend from thirty years ago. And I assure you she was very real. 😄
Kind of like a bad marriage after divorce?
@@Heart2HeartBooks Those…are the…most…frightening dreams….of all 🥺 …😉
BUT PERHAPS DREAMS ARE REAL. WHEN WE SEE DEAD PPL IN A DREAM MAYBE THEY HAVE COME TO US FROM THE OTHER SIDE.
