In my childhood I have seen this movie but didn't remembered anything accept this beautiful song but now I am watching this movie and feeling so peaceful.
This is a very sensitive and poignant film. Brings tears at many places.
This film is marvelously written by Kamal Amrohi. In the background music, there is use of Pakiza's background score at some places.
Khayyam's music and songs are fantastic.
The Hindu-Muslim cultural harmony, as depicted in this film, was once truly existent, but today it has been lost.
However, if Dr. Sahab had also given his daughter her share of the property before dying, it would have been better.

आप यूं फासलों से गुजरते रहे, दिल से कदमों की आवाज आती रही। लताजी का गीत लाजवाब और रफी साब का गाना एक मासूम सी लड़की फिल्म की जान हे। स्टोरी अच्छी थी but कहीं डायरेक्शन या कही बहुत जगह फिल्म कुछ धीमे गति से चलती हे, कुछ सीन्स बहुत इमोशनल कर देते हे। मगर इसमें इंसानियत अच्छे तरीके से बताई हे। कुछ सीन पाकीजा के लगते हे। अगर कमाल अमरोही जी डायरेक्ट करते तो फिल्म जबरजस्त बनती।
Aj bhi chal raha hai hinsa ka wo dahan! Allah ho ya Bhagwan, khuda ho ya guru, insaan to insaan i hai, jo kabhi kabhi haiwan ban jata hai.
