That looks great. Glad you are into MTB, it's been a hobby of mine for 20 years. Have you tried any of the more technical trails like at Bets--W-Coed (in the forest near there). The red is fine and I bet nothing you could not handle. There's also the Penmackno trail near there, a fair bit techier that one. Loads of great natural trails in Wales too. Liked the music, you captured some of the thrills and speed MTB gives. And the bigger buzz from the high-intensity exercise. Llandudno is great too, I am sure you would be fine with the red route. Forgive me if you have already done them.

Yeh..I've done The Marin and Penmachno but these days I prefer just finding my own trails away from the crowds. Hence why I'm getting a gravel bike for some longer tours. The Foel Gasnach centre I passed through has different graded routes and I guess it will be quiter than somewhere like the Llandegla centre which I've always avoided becauseit sounds as busy as the Trafford Centre!

@@blackdogwildtrails3123 Hmm I will check that out thanks. Yes Llandegla can get busy at weekends, but once on the trail does not feel so bad, the people spread about. Have you tried bike packing? I have been into that a lot lately, Scotland is amazing for isolation. I did Wales South to North which was amazing too, staying in many of the bothies. And taking in the Elan Valley along the way.

@@andrewnorris5415 That sounds great.Bikepacking that is. I've been watching a few videos on YT with interest. As I said, its one of the reasons I'm buying a gravel bike as it seems a better bet for touring than my Kona.

@@blackdogwildtrails3123 Must say I did it on an old trusty 26r MTB. Got it set up with an XT dynamo hub and charger for my phone / garmin. Was worried my full suss mtb would be stolen, esp. in shop trips. It's that expensive as some mtbs go but it would not be nice to have it stolen! Being into wild camping a lot and knowing bothies well you should be right at home bike packing. Alpkit and Planet-X do some good bags that are not too expensive. Planet-x sales can be good, if prepared to wait.

Looks to be some good trails around there. A good bike will last you years (not necessarily top of the range 🙂). My mountain bike is a 25 year old Holdsworth, I’ve never had and problems with it. Doesn’t have any suspension though so can be a bit bumpy over rough tracks but it does me for my pottering about (you certainly wouldn’t get me doing the extreme downhill track though 😱😂)

Vintage bikes are all the rage these days. You see restoration videos on UA-cam of old Raleighs and the like. I'm treating myself to a gravel bike made by a small Bristol outfit called Temple as I wan't to do some longer trips.

Black Dog Vantrails yeah, I’ve got a mate that loves his vintage bikes. Great idea to get a gravel bike, maybe you could do LEJOG and do some vlogs on that 😁
