Poor Results in Latest Crash Tests

- None of the six most-popular midsize sedans earned a top rating in bumper safety in the latest crash tests performed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Mazda 6 was the only car to receive an "acceptable" rating. (Aug. 6)
I love the latest news on a 2010 Mazda 6, thanks youtube

Expected repair cost: $2000
Repairing in south east asia: $5
then after 5 years the car is a piece of junk that no longer starts
And in Los Santos Customs?
@@regulardudegam1ng More like the car starts but it now runs a 2-stroke
Seriously though, repair cost here in south east asia is definitely cheap.
I don't think so and cars in asia is at least double the price
thank you, I shall now buy a 2009 mazda
Fun fact: everyone got this video in recommendations after 11yrs.

This video must have been going at about 6mph since it took 11 years to make its way into my feed
This video was originally released approximately 578,544 miles away from you.
I can't with my recommendations right now..
I've literally saw about three videos in my recommendations that I just watched minutes ago!

Oh wow you're here, love your stealth videos btw

It's nothing Los Santos Customs can't fix tho.

Is there anyone else watching this in 2023?
Uhmm.
Who got this video after recommend after 11 years?

I was going to purchase a 2021 Lamborghini Huracan but after viewing this reccomended video and taking into consideration the repair costs associated with backing into a testing facility crash pylon at 8 mph i have decided to settle for a 2009 Mazda 6.
recommended in 2021 because now we can buy these things

Latin America: I'm gonna pretend I didn't see that
These are truly poor results in the *latest* car crash tests.
This was from 11 years ago why did i saw this in my reccomendation
This has to be the most confusingly mundane thing that UA-cam has shoved into my recommended feed so far.
Ikr I was expecting it to be something from the onion
Who else got this recommended in 2021?
You are lucky because I’m watching it in 2042.
@@MrPavloUkraine Haha and Im answering you 2071;)
6mph crash 😂😂😂 like I’m only going 6mph in a parking lot... what y’all think I’m trying to spend the night
I think it simulates speed when actively parking, not traversing the parking lot. Or do you manage to crash driving straight?
Who else got it recommended after 11yrs
destruction in old nfs be like:

Did they just say Nissan Maxima but it’s obviously a Honda accord
You expect journos to get their facts right? How silly of you.
Key word: "included"
They don't half of the included cars tested
Those bumper repairs are higher than what those cars are worth today
I've never been more excited for watching an 11 years old video about car bomper crashes. Thanks UA-cam algorithm
Why it's recommending it in 2021
It's a glitch in the matrix.
Same man
The same reason you clicked this video
I had an '88 Chevy Spectrum hatchback. I'd hit poles in parking lots for fun (youth) at 3-5 mph and sustained no damage. Once a Lincoln Town car hit us from behind when a lady in front of us stopped short. It was a hard hit, but again no damage. Every car was different. Today I see nothing but buckled bumpers, especially on the corner of Toyota Camrys. I know the front ends of cars absorb impact better today. But those bumpers just crumble.
Why is the video from 2009 and comments from 30 minutes ago
See you again guys when this gets recommended 10 years later
First, why is this recommended, second, why did I watch the whole thing
Things I do not understand:
-how these were tested and labelled as "poor" considering they faired pretty well overall
-the youtube algorithm suggesting this after 11 years
With the current trend of massive grills + SUVs/Cross Overs/Pickups a lot of cars don't have bumpers at the same height or there's a grill in the middle. You won't get off so easily these days.
Ah yes the latest cars

What can you expect when a bumper is nothing more than plastic over styrofoam?
Well, it's fun to get the "Latest" news like this one, in may 2021
I guarantee no one here searched for this video
youtube casually recommending crash test videos of cars that are getting phased out by years.
I can attest to the 8th gen accord bumper toughness. Previous owner of my 11 LX bashed it on a few things in the front and back too, but not much deformation
Why this video is on my main screen after 11 years?

With modern cars having cameras, sensors and lasers in their bumpers, I imagine a $2,000 repair bill is considered "excellent"

After 11 years. Thanks youtube
Who would repair that anyways? I hit a Buick going 20 mph and I didn't replace anything? Stupid test.

People complaining about the age of the video as if they can afford brand new cars, UA-cam algorithm knows 11 year old cars is all you bums can afford.
weird that i spent 35k dollar on a car 1 week ago then

$2,000 for a bumper replacement? Government is always full of 💩
For a brand new car it's about right...850 the bumper, 2hrs labor 240, paint the bumper 560, crash beam cushion another 100... not too far from 2000....that's for a toyota. try it with a Cadlac or european car you're looking at double....

- "poor"? the results look excellent
I know right? Now a days a car at that speed would just fall apart in a crash.

It's amazing that it would cost that much for a basic fender bender. How much does a bumper cost relative to buying the whole car as opposed to buying it a la carte?
Was alive 7 years ago
These things look like they were made last year, we really haven't changed anything in the past 11 years.
None of these would cost even $500 to repair (including the price of the bumper). What were they smoking?
Mechanics are hacks and will overcharge for anything. Even oil changes will cost up to 40$
