I also purchased the T100 with the 36" deck. I really like the way it cuts but you'd better be hanging on when you engage the clutch to move forward, it has a really hard jerk to it when you take off.
best video i saw so far . I need a video that explains the operation of ALL the features on this mower. something that tells you how to use all the levers back up mode etc.
I appreciate the video, this is exactly the one I was deciding on but none of my local Lowe’s have it in stock.. great video though, I was hoping to see you get it started and show how to operate this specific one for the first time.
Glad you found it useful! next video i will go over the starting process as well as some live mowing footage! so subscribe if youd like! the video will go up next week!
Good Job on the video. Please post a video or pictures of how the deck belt is routed. My belt broke and I cannot figure out how to properly route the replacement. The diagram on the deck and photo in my owners manual both show 2 idler pullies but the deck only has one.
I love mine, just got it but every time I wanted to mow on reverse it kept shutting off. Can you advise on how I can do it. It worked twice then every time after it would shut off
Could you please show a step by step process of how to operate this mower? I just purchased the same one and everyone I engage the blades the dang thing cuts off. Obviously I'm not putting things in the proper order. Btw I purchased this brand new. I have none to show me how to operate it. I'm surrounded by non- mechanically inclined males!
Here is how you START the ENGINE Insert the key into the ignition switch. Place the PTO lever in the disengaged (PTO OFF) position. Engage the lawn tractor’s parking brake Activate the choke control. Turn the key clockwise to the START position. After the engine starts, release the key. It will return to the PTO ON (or NORMAL DRIVING MODE) position. IMPORTANT: Do NOT hold the key in the START position for longer than 10 seconds at a time. Doing so may cause damage to your engine’s electric starter. After the engine starts, deactivate the throttle/choke control lever and place the throttle/choke control lever in the FAST position. NOTE: Do NOT leave the choke control on while operating the lawn tractor. Doing so will result in a “rich” fuel mixture and cause the engine to run poorly.
@@fastguned I just purchased one about 2 weeks ago and I love it. For the first time I look forward to cutting the grass. It works very well and is a nice size for storage plus the price is right ✅. Not sure how the more expensive one's are to use but I just did not want to spend hours pushing a lawnmower anymore.
@@H1Hummer How does the mow in reverse work on this mower. The John Deeres I looked have a button you have to hold down while backing up to keep the blades turning.
@@fastguned it is kind of a pain i* t** a**. You have to put the lever in neutral turn the key to backup and than hit the switch. After all that put the lever in reverse and good to go.
PTO level is Power Take Off. It is the Blade Engage disengaged lever. It must be place lever in disengaged (OFF) position before you start the engine. The engine will not start if the Blade is engaged. PTO lever operates an electrical switch which is in series of the engine starter motor and the ignition key and the battery.
New mowers are always fun.. but the new ones suck...this kind is way bad😕 Its very simple yes.. pretty yes.. looks awesome.. but with anything made nowadays it is very cheaply designed..these varadrive mowers are good for mowing about a 2-acre yard or less 2 times a week.. definitely not commerical quality.. I have used this size mower commercially as a backup to my main unit.. 60" Dixie Chopper..I can tell you these new little mowers dont hold up very well at all..I have had to use it to mow 7+ acres all at once numerous times and its definitely taken a toll on the little mower..My frame is cracked 😬 I highly suggest finding an older garden tractor with a larger deck.. for the money you spent on a brand new one... you could have gotten a very good older unit... sometimes new is not always the best route to take when starting a small business.. search your area craigslist ( just type in "mower" nothing else) and scroll through.. you will be intrigued in what you can find for that kinda money..or market place.. even locally..Always think outside the box...
Hey man, do you think these type mowers would be well suited for a 0.6 acre lot and used one a week. I’m looking to buy a cheap one that will also get the job done. I’d like to get ur info on this. Thank you.
@@deeppatel636 I would go on market place craigslist or any local for sale venue. Look for one WITHOUT a hydrostatic transmission.. 5 or 6 speed manual is best.. a 42" deck would be plenty for your application.. try to stay away from the new riders.. yes they are new and shiny.. but with the quality of mowers that are built today has greatly diminished..They are made with very thin metal and plastic transmissions 😬.. The older Craftsmens and Murrays are very good machines..they are out there..you just gotta find one 👍🏻
Doesn’t take a genius to figure it out. Depress the clutch/brake, set the speed lever to choke. Put in neutral, turn key and your running. Select transmission speed to 3 or 4, push pto lever forward to engage blades, let out the clutch and your cutting grass

Grate video, thank you for posting this.
I bought one one these. The only con to speak of is the oil drain port. An oil drain extension hose is highly recommended.
This is just what I was looking for. Thank you!
Glad to see you back!

I just got mine T100 today pretty nice fell I think I will start cutting other peoples yard keep me posted on your lawn business.
How is the tractor doing so far?? I’m looking to buy this in the future.
How's the T100 holding up?

How do you keep the hood secure, should there be any tabs or latch neat the dash, brand new mower hood won't stay secure. Thanks Craftsman T100
Buying one next week from Lowes!
Your video was perfect! Thanks!
Have you done a video on starting the T100?
what's the width of mower side to side. i have a 38 inch opening for my fence. want to make sure i can go in and out. thanks
🔥 Video man, I like your mower!! I have a John Deere 120 42” deck.
The video was fine , just to short !

Start it them turn key to the left 1 click. Then hold the yellow triangle button in until it lights.
@M Martin - Unplug the connector going to the yellow triangle button.
I have the smaller sections summon
That mower has doubled in price in the last 2 years. Along with everything else.

I just got a T240 with a 46in deck from lowes for 999.00 Had 2.8hrs on it. Love it so far
That same mower is over $2000 today.
Does it come with one large blade or does it have to smaller blades?
It has 2 blades. Thinking about getting this one because that 36 inch deck can go through my 2 chain link fence gates.
