Yep. So many critics on UA-cam trying to downplay the achievements of the British carrier. But not many other countries can boast a carrier traveling around the world and visiting 40+ countries on its maiden deployment. When was the last time Chinese carrier sailed into open ocean 🤔

Let’s hope this dissuades the Chinese from attacking Taiwan. In the past the CCP has been cautious about trouble- these tendencies may win out still.

A brilliant first deployment helped also by the fact that they are utterly fantastic great looking carriers, not as powerful as the Nimitz but mean machines nonetheless incredibly powerful and beautiful to look at. We should have at least 3 of these, I'd like 5 !

That Japanese carrier is the Ise which is a smaller cousin to the two Izumo class ships and a helicopter-only platform. The Izumo class were
designed with the idea that eventually they could be modified to handle F-35s. The Ise is of the Hyuga Class which wasn't. It would

@AAA AAA LOL, you really don't know anything about history. Do you know why the US went into Afghanistan? Appartantly not by your childish comment. The US went into Afghanistan to kill Osama Bin Laden and his thugs, which was largely achieved. What about Syria? The US went in under UN Charter that allowed it to fight ISIS. It has no plan to stay, just like it didn't have any plans to stay in Afghanistan. What about Libya? The US doesn't have troops there, and an evil dictator has been removed. And the US attacked Iraq because it believed Iraq had WMDs. At least the US admitted it didn't find any. Most other nations would plant the evidence.
What's funny is that while you criticize the US, you're the one here on US UA-cam, using US discoverd internet and routers, using a phone or computer with US microchip tech in it. Go use your countries crap version, if it even has one.

If Chinese Navy has half a dozen outstanding and bold submarine captains ...Yes they can sink half of this task force...People are harping about hypersonic anti-ship missiles of China and Russia...But the real threat to an aircraft carrier task force is always a sneaky submarine...One submarine able to get through the task force defences is enough to cause a chaos...And there plenty of examples of small, sneaky, air independent propulsion diesel electric subs of Sweden, Netherlands and Australia sinking Nimitz class aircraft carriers during multinational training exercises.

  • @jerrydiver1

Each navy out there has at least one attack sub escorting each of its carriers. And the same will go for India, when they participate. It's one of the things that a potential attacker has to take into consideration as part of any realistic battle planning. As are the usually overlooked contributions of the participating nation's land-based air assets, such as maritime patrol aircraft (P-3, P-8, etc), aerial refueling planes, radar early-warning platforms and strategic bombers from as close as Guam or as distant as a stateside Air Force Base across the street from the shrimp boil. Video of the carriers of several allied navies acting in concert is impressive, but when you stop to think about the awesome national force that is backstopping them, and the collective force of will that this is meant to telegraph, you have to look at China and ask yourself if they're feeling lucky, today. This is meant to keep them from destroying themselves and the world's economy because a power-hungry and paranoid group of old men think invading Taiwan is the way for them to stay in power forever. Every time you see a posted video that says we will not and can not defend Taiwan, you are looking at a piece of propaganda which has as its sole purpose eroding the will of Americans and our allies to do that very thing. These videos of our Navy and our ally's navies operating like this are a tool meant to counter the propaganda by clearly showing our will and intent,
so that the old men in Beijing don't make a miscalculation of horrendous consequence.

This I suspect is auspicious, and not accidentally so. October is a month in which the tides are amenable to a Taiwan invasion. Meanwhile China has been doing all the things one might expect China to do were they actually intending to invade. Having a four carrier task force in place at just this moment might well give them pause at the last minute.
