Thanks for this review. I have the previous gen kuiu bag. I just got the expander because I am a larger fella as well and previously had to use it mostly as a quilt. It sounds like the altai bag may be lesser quality than the previous gen. This completely changed my mind on getting the newer model. Overall I use my enlightened equipment quilt more, I may check out the peax in the future.
Just go with a Western Mountaineering or Feathered Friends sleeping bag.
Western Mountaineering Sequoia GWS is the bag I am going with. The kuiu bag looks like its not made very well
