Ek sabak aapke vlog ko dekhne ke baad mila ki jab bhi Ladakh ride karo, wahi bike lekar jao jisme poore per zameen par tik jaaye.
It always advisable to cross the tough parts, like passes, water crossing before noon. The snow melts and that's why you had to face such rapid water. If you had crossed Shinkula earlier by say 10AM which is quite possible( We did so, started from Jispa) these water crossing would have been much easier. Anyways best of luck. Hope you are able to cross Purne without any further incident. It is pretty sandy(deep sand) down there. Best of Luck.

Pro tip for 12:50 situation : wear socks and than cover it with a polythene and then wear shoes, try it once it helped me a lot

Don’t sit and drive at slow pace. Stand and maintain momentum. It’s much easier that way over river crossing. I also got stuck sitting. But standing we are able to balance bike better and get over stones and boulders easily.
Just returned from my solo spiti ride on new Himalayan. And this is the lesson I learnt. Also use gum boots. All the best.

Seat height is always a concern for short riders like you & me 😜 so I compromised with power & riding Avenger 220 cruise now. Good luck for your ride.

i did with my friends on Scorpio to Padum Via Kargil in 2017.........No Road anywhere ...Pancila Pass one of the toughest train and we took almost 10-11 Hours to Reach Padum via Kargil

We have also crossed this water crossing this season only , and havent taken any help the key to understand here is that you need to minimise your clutch movement and give constant race to keep the momentum to overcome this hurdle. Also we were eearing normal canvas shoes with socks , but have applied almond oil before wearing socks which helped us to retain required heat in our body.

Whoever going to ladakh or zanskar, its not for bigginner people be it girls or boys, choose a bike which has low end torque, light weight keep don't carry your full wardrobe along, with u, I have seen so many people taking whole house with them while going ladakh,
kudos to swati, you are doing ladakh that too zanskar 1st time, you are brave and confident I am sure you will be going longer way in this youtube journey.
just an advise Every day will be challenge in ladakh road trip just leave early morning everyday, and plan the watercrossing before noon, if your route while coming back from leh to manali there are more passes and on very high altitude, these passes will test all possible skills you got, Its good you have great mentors with you, they are very supportive. All the best for the rest of the route.
