This is such a great series! I love how you encourage us to develop a focus in our collections. It's hard to restrain yourself from buying everything! But your videos have encouraged me to think of the Pokemon I really want to focus on and check the set list and artworks before every purchase of a pack or box!

It's also cool that the $100/mo. budget is right around the target allowed by my wife. My son and I try to stick to it, but it is so hard with Pokemon. Especially when you gotta catch them all. 😀

The eeveelution cards from the premium boxes are a great by imo especially if you can find some in psa 10 worthy condition. Promos on average are going for $10-15 and may drop further as they release more boxes. The cards are gorgeous and a great budget buy right now.
I think you hit it out of the park this episode. The amazing set alone is worth double what you paid. My budget is not quite $100/month, but I feel this is a series that's truly relatable. As prices drop/adjust in 2022 I'd love to see what other bargains you pick up! Some tag team cards maybe? Hint hint?

Loving the Celebrations prices. Folks, special sets and anniversary sets do NOT stay cheap, especially ones that are fun to open. Evolutions, Generations, Hidden Fates, Shining Legends, Celebrations. Wildly fun to open because of the special types of cards that are relatively easy to pull. When supply dries up, this is a set that will see 100-200% increases in value for sealed products regardless of the state of the hobby. If you're not looking to hold and resell, the other positive is that at these prices (in some cases UNDER retail) you're looking at Celebrations packs at under $3.00 per pack on average, which is insane, and it makes it cheap and fun to open whenever you feel like it. I'm personally selling most of my collection to stock up on Celebrations sealed cases just because I feel so strongly about its future relative to being priced at or below retail.
Hey Jake, would you mind taking some time to tell us how you get bends out of your cards? I have a Pikachu XY95 Promo with excellent centering and a beautiful swirl directly above the Pikachu's head, but it was bent/curled directly out of the blister pack. Would love to know how to get it straightened out :D
Yeah I put it in a Card Saver I and that's all it takes. If it goes off to grading they do not deduct grades for curved cards anyway since they flatten out in the slabs

I find great lots on ebay sometimes. I got a tin, two 3 card blisters, a mini tin and a blister with 2 promo cards for $80! Free ship and prime box $60 ft 5 celebrations packs, 1 chest and a bunch of smaller stuff for new collectors free ship.
Man America seems like a great place for collectors, here in Norway deals like these are impossible and with eBay, taxes and shipping add so much on top, ordering something for 20$ ends up being 50$+

I just opened my first booster box which happened to be the evolving skies booster box and i had my sleeves and toploaders ready, i even bought a new cover to store my cards but i just realised they won’t fit because the toploaders are too big. So do you know where to get covers which can fit toploaders? And by the way, i love your videos!

Pikachu V union still goes for 40 euros a piece her e in EU. Deals are so hard to find here. Been looking to but some more Vmax Climax as well but the boxes go for 100 euro each as well. I am currently opening a Vmax Climax box and it's so much fun!! I am 4 packs in so far because I want to savor the experience and I already got Bronzong CHR!! I wanted Bronzong and Zekrom the most! Wish me luck!
They're definitely more abundant in the US admittedly. We have a lot of card shops and individual sellers in the US that sell cards for $1 - $2 as people open up many copies of these
you should snag some first edition jungle/fossil holo cards. I love sniping auctions for those on the daily to work on my 1st ed jungle and 1st ed fossil master set.
The 1 of a kind katy perry v has a female pikachu on it as well. Any idea how much that card would sell for? I doubt she would sell it, but that payday would not be too shabby ;)
