Lovely talk thank you. I am at the beginning of this process because of a difficult year I have had. Giving up resentment feels immensely powerful. It's like laying down all your madness and burdens and feeling light in the world again.
I thank God for souls like you cause it is possible to forgive cause we must let go by seeking help from God who forgave us first. Thank you Lord for Megan
I've had the great fortune to meet Azim, to hear and be inspired by his story and commitment to forgiveness. Megan thank you for bringing more light to this important topic.
Megan, what a wonderful talk! I love your writing style. I remember celebrating all the awards you won as a journalist. I am looking forward to Penguin Random House release of your book, Triumph of the Heart: Forgiveness in an Unforgiving World. The next two decades have the opportunity to be extraordinary as we resolve tough issues, such as: hunger, contaminated water and unhealthy living conditions. Before we begin, we must open our hearts. August 11, 2015 can't come soon enough. Sarah Lusher and Maria Burton ... I wanted you to be aware of Megan's first book. For those who don't know Megan, she is an incredible journalist. Her wisdom and selection of stories that she researched and extensively interviewed are gripping and moving. I have been waiting for you to write a book for a long time now, Megan. I don't remember who said it, but to paraphrase, the heart is designed to be broken. It might be broken many times. Engaging in trust and forgiveness makes the heart whole again. Before the '20s and '30s there are hearts waiting to become whole once again. Megan, your timing couldn't be more perfect as 2015 is turning out to be a remarkable year as controversial issues that have persisted for a long time are being addressed and resolved. In a month we get to turn our attention to our hearts. Thank you.
Beautiful! I love your wants for your son. I believe we can all relate to those times when we are kids and something felt so heavy, but is really just our life playing out. Forgiveness is such an important skill. One that we can benefit from using every day -- an antidote to judgment. TY for sharing.
forgiveness on one hand can only be meet when " REPENTANCE " is extended by the offending other....... Damnation can still apply to the unrepentant even if you are forgiven ........ Example: Depending on the situation , I may forgive you . Yet The Most High may not. Forgiveness is not given for selfish reasons. It is given that with hope that you and the offender may stand clean of strife and to bring closure to a wrongful situation.... On any level.
Isn't she my my beautiful/ dear sister. Indeed I'm very proud of her! forgiveness is the only medicine for a broken heart & soul! your talk is highly appreciated!
I do not like these kinds of videos, for the simple reason that they seem to offer answers to how, but they don't. Not even a bit. It's the how i don't know, not the why.

Great talk! Buddhists say start with compassion of self, extend it to others. Part of compassion is patience.
Incredible talk. I'm still under the spell of those magical words that really helped me to bring positivity in my life.

Should we forgive the arrogance of thinking you speak for "we all?" Just a thought...
If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and seek my face and turn from their wickedness then I will heal their land!
Excellent talk Megan! Powerful words indeed. Congratulations on your marriage, son and the upcoming book.
Angela Jackson Thanks so much, Angela! I hope you're well!
I want to say I have forgiven my dad for being the parent that he is, I don't resent him, I just don't ever want to deal with him. Idk
Your choice is perfectly ok, I made the same one although it is my mother I cut contact with for my life to be healthier
Excellent. Very time appropriate!
Forgiveness would change everything we know in the real world.
