Actual good advice. I’m doing horribly so far. We are installing Lights in an auditorium ran off a smart electrical system. I know nothing about data wire. I’ve only done residential. I’m not quitting tho. I’ve definitely pissed of my master electrician more than a few times. Any more advice you have would be fantastic
How’s it going now? Hang in there man. I got told I was underperforming with deadlines recently but I’m not going to let it hold me back, I’m just going to go harder.

Honestly as an apprentice im 5 months in im doing good i just try to work as much as possible when i first got on the job i bought every tool from benders to Mc roto splitters so if any opportunities came up and they needed someone to do it i was able to do it and willing to do it and my foremans have loved it that im willing to stay 12 hours some days even tho im only scheduled for 8 and my foremans already left and is calling me to handle stuff because i didnt run off the jobsite

Yeah I hate guys who like to spend time at their Home. Absolutely despise people who have a life outside of work. How dare they work ONLY the hours they’re scheduled.
Only 5 month on job right now but I have no supervision over me anymore since honestly 4 weeks after being on job site they realized quickly i call when im not 100 percent sure and i call and let them know if i made a mistake no matter if i already fixed the mistake like leaving out someone elses tools right in front of our trailer i forgot they were there we both left a while ago and i called the yard dog the laborer and asked of he got a chance can he grab them and put them somewhere safe when he called me back and told me there in his office i could have not said anything but instead i called my foreman and told him hey man i messed up i left your tools out i called kevin amd he has them in his office for us to grab tomorrow im really sorry but i just wanted to let you know he didnt care was really cool about it and said mistakes happen man the fact you owned up to it i wouldnt have cared if you lost them because you told me before i tried to find them in 2 weeks and couldnt

Can I do an apprenticeship with absolutely 0 knowledge of it? I’m 20 and thinking about starting in this area but idk if I should do trade school first or what? Any help or advice?
