Dang. The song is so.....emotional. you can tell by how sad the vocals and instrumental sound.
The fact that Sonic says "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" to his EXE counterpart further supports this. Sonic didn't want to become a monster, and he's trying to fight the urge to kill any living thing in sight.

This is not true, Xain is just sonic but repeating what he says in xenophanes’s voice
@@SKURMIE I remember on the original video comment sections Xain was described as a voice of Xeno inside sonics head trying to I would guess "break" Sonic mentally, or at least keep him occupied.

But why dose EXE have a sad look to him?
It is very deep how Sonic with that remix fights intensely with his inner evil side, and it is a beautiful detail that the arrows are synchronized

You know, I always thought a song where two characters use the same 4 notes like that due to a mind control or hallucination or something situation would be cool, although I suggest giving Xain differently colored notes to make it more fair, like maybe black with colored outlines?

it's not EXE, but instead Xain. i mean technically it is EXE because Xain is Xenophanes' manifesting Sonic's mind and mocking him/his actions while Sonic's pushing him back, but yeah

I think this hits so much harder for me because there was a time in school where the procrastination and negative things swirling in my mind I kinda attached to the concept of those things taking the form of me and causing me to slip up and screw up and I did something similar to what sonic did I screamed at that side of me but in doing that the realization that I was that person and that it’s too late to get rid of it but it’s never to late to find a way to live with it.
