Another wonderful walk. I so enjoyed seeing all of the Chocolate box cottages and homes. I have always been fond of the thatched roofs. The church was beautiful! I envy the architectural history your country has. Thank you for sharing all of the beauty with us again!!
I’ve only fairly recently found your channel so an catching up on all the previous ones. I love all of them. Thank you so much for letting me walk with you through these amazing villages from my armchair.
Very beautiful, a really nice peaceful village of Bishopstone with nice looking houses and beautiful countryside Thank You for your great videos and Thank You.😊😊 📹📱📱📹
HAVE A NICE DAY SIR DAVE. WOW, WHAT A BEAUTY! WATCHED YOUR NEXT WONDERFUL VIDEO AND GOT GREAT PLEASURE. THE VILLAGE IN MY TASTE. THANKS FOR SHOWING US SUCH BEAUTIFUL PLACES. BRAVOOOOOOOOOOOOO! LIKE FROM YOUR SUBSCRIBER LIVING IN BAKU CITY COUNTRY AZERBAIJAN
Here's a History Fact if you're interested. A Rural Policeman was assigned to a village and a special house was provided for Lodging. They tended to integrate better within the community and became trusted and popular.
Navigating narrow passageways holding a camera still in one hand while the wind pulls on the umbrella in the other hand, wading road-width lakes, but always maintaining the charming ambience of the tour you gift us.
Bishopstone is a large and quite extensive village. Lots of houses with thatched roofs!!. Beautiful houses and important farms!!. But the delight is at the beginning of the walk around the small lakes and with its tiny paths full of charm. It is a real pleasure for the eyes and the heart!!. The continuation of the walk is very pleasant too, but the beginning is truly remarkable. Thank you Dave for this pleasure. 😀😀😀😀😀
Paused the video to say... Wow...This place really exists?!? How incredibly beautiful, peaceful is this... It's like a green gorgeous dreamland compared to the concrete world most of us live in. New to subscribe. 👍🏼💛
@@DavesWalks Thanks for the reply and thank you very much for the lovely view of country side., the lpons , the trees, the clean roads, the streams, the still trees, wow wonderful.
I love doing my daily walks along with your walks. The gorgeous scenery is an automatic meditation. Being an American who has never been able to travel in England, I have a couple of questions for anyone who knows. What do the yellow and aqua striped flags stand for? What are the big "X"s on some of the buildings for?
The yellow and aqua flags are Ukrainian support flags I think, as for the big X's. I am afraid I have absolutely no idea! Possibly supports the building somehow, or is perhaps to just be something interesting and doesn't have any function, don't know sorry.
@@DavesWalks -Thank you for the info! I also saw a big iron "S" on one bldg. in the same places that usually have the big "X" on them. I just looked it up on Google. They are attached tie rods and there will be another one on the other side of the bldg. with a line in between them. They are supporting the walls, just as you surmised!
The X is a brace and it's for stopping the old walls from bowing out it goes through the house to the front to the back you'll see them in all different shapes and sizes hopefully that's answered your question. And I've got them on my old cottage but mine are 2 lion heads they were there when Ioved in @@meagiesmuse2334
флаг можно увидеть развевающимся почти во всех деревнях и городах Великобритании. Не так уж много мест, где я снимаю, где я этого не вижу. Даже в самых глухих и сонных деревушках, таких как здесь.
@@VirtualTravelFilmshes right. I live in london and it's on houses and even government buildings even today. Slava 🇺🇦🇬🇧♥ so sorry we cant help more, wish we could send troops ️
Great video, but would it be possible for you to upgrade to a camera with a stabilizer? As it is now, the constant bobbing up and down whenever you are walking makes it hard to enjoy the walk…my head and eyes don’t bounce up and down when -I’m- out walking! Hope you accept this comment in the helpful spirit in which its meant….
My camera does have a stabilizer, sadly its unlikely I would change camera anytime soon. I used to have a more stable set up before this camera, but It was just to heavy to walk with, it was really hurting my back so I had to opt for something lighter. I forever endeavour to always create as little up and down bounce as I can, but it is not easy.
had to pause @ 5.39 who in the council gave planning permission for that hideous red brick object in the background?? brown envelopes and backhanders abound no doubt..
I expect to see Miss Marple come around the corner.
😂
Haha😅
Or Doc Martin..Excellent TV show.
