    Your explanations are amazing, thank you! It would be immensely helpful if you could do a video about the normal gait, since it's a topic I've been having some difficulty with for a while now.

    Hi Coach! First of all, thank you so much for these videos they have been extremely helpful!!!
    I had a question about step length, when talking about a step length being longer or shorter do you always compare it to a norm; do you compare it to the patient's opposite leg or does the question have to specify "when compared to the opposite leg" for us to know. For example, in this question we would expect the left step length to be shorter, does that mean if answer C said "lengthened step length on the right" that could be a potential correct answer?

    • @ThePTHustle
      @ThePTHustle  4 роки тому +2

      Elyse! Thank you so so much for the question! This is a good one.
      I would always compare the length to the other leg unless in the question it says "compared to norms". I highly doubt you would get a question that said that though.
      To answer your question yes C, if it had said "lengthened step length on the right" that could have been the answer as well.

    Coach, shouldn't there be forward rotation of lt side pelvis when there is Terminal stance on Rt side?🤔🤔🤔😷😷😷

    • @ThePTHustle
      @ThePTHustle  5 років тому

      Ankur! There is a forward rotation of the left pelvis when the right side is in terminal stance. That is correct.

      @@ThePTHustle so the stance leg would always be in forward rotation, while the swing leg would always be in posterior rotation, given that. Would the sacrum then be rotated towards the stance leg? Ex. (R) LE in terminal stance = R-R sacral rotation, lumbar rotation to the (L) and Thoracic rotation to the (R)? been having some problems with gait analysis.

    I am confused about the trunk rotation part of this question. If the right leg is in terminal stance and the Left leg is in terminal swing wouldn't the Right arm be swinging forward as it is contralateral to the advancing left leg? We walk reciprocally with a right forward arm swing with accompanied right trunk rotation.
    So I feel like if the left step length is decreased because right terminal stance is limited than right trunk rotation would be decreased, not left trunk rotation.

      R forward arm swing w/ accompanied L trunk rotation.
