chinese built flume used to move water down the valley for gold washing using hydraulic mining technics....built around the 1860s..there was an overhead timber flume used in one part of the creek ..and small header dams at the top of the water race ..man hours involved are very hard to calculate ..rock structure contour runs for approximately 3 klms..half of it is flooded with the irrigation dam that was built in the location..100 years later
