1964 was a landmark year for tractor launches with the emergence of the Ford 6X range and the Massey Red Giant range. Many of these tractors are still in use today.
I saw the art work on the tractor cab last month on a factory tour , wasn’t quite finished. Great day ,the time before when I toured the factory they were making the 7610 series 2 in the mid 1980s. Good times Good tractors . Thanks for the Video George 😊🇬🇧👍
Very cool anniversary edition. We are a blue power farm here in NY. We never had problems with our Fords and will continue to buy NH tractors for a long time to come. We have had 8ns ,9ns, 5000s ,5600 ,6600 ,8000 all amazing machines. Cool video thank you for it
Hey George interesting video, wow hasn't New Holland come a long way in that 60 years. The colours on that New Holland would remind you of the movie Austin Powers as yourself and mucker said. I must say yourself and mucker are great craic to watch. I really enjoy watching the two of ye. Keep up the great work George.

I’ve been a Ford fan all my life. As an interesting connection, the first tractor rolled off the line there May 15th, 1964. As well, the original Mustang launched May 17, 1964, which is exactly 4 weeks before I was born. So I feel extra close to both of these vehicles. Looking forward to the plant tour.

An excellent video, George. I was just wondering the other day if the factory would be celebrating the Diamond anniversary of production at Basildon with a special model to commemorate 60 years of production, and they have done. I've been to see the factory twice, once in December 1985, when they launched the Force 2 models with the super Q cabs and in 2015 when the new style models came out, the production line had completely changed over the 30 years since I first visited Basildon. The visitors centre is a superb place to see too.
I would love to see you try that biogas system on your dairy farm - complete with a biogas powered NH tractor. I am sure you could negotiate a discount for the exposure it would give to what looks like a promising technology for some livestock farmers!
Dad drove one of the first 4000 tractors and also had one of the first Force 4000. He always said the 4000 was far better than the 5000. He ended his working days with a 7610.
Looks like they should have relocated the air adjust button to the sideboard as well to keep it from being messed with by the little kids in the jump seat!
Having learnt to drive on a Ford 3000, this was absolutely interesting. I was also interested in the bio-gas system. Other than the obvious benefits to the farmer, these kinds of systems can also help to fight back against the political pressure and quite frankly bullying, that is being thrown towards agriculture at the moment. Not every farm can implement a system like this, but if the NFU can turn around and say XX% of overall agricultural emissions are being offset by whatever amount, this can of course be only a good thing. However, governments need to get behind agriculture and provide financial and moral support to agriculture to ensure that farms that can and should have these systems, be able to implement them. I don't hold out on any supportive government from any party coming to power anytime soon though...

Nice design but the whole flower power/psychedelia thing did not really kick off until the second half of the 1960's. More realistically the tractor would have been a boring grey.
It would have been easier taking a bunch of 5 year olds into a sweet shop than takiing Kurt to the tractor factory!!!... he's got "naughty schoolboy" written all over him!!!😂😂😂...Good video Guys!!!👍

They were never fitted with wide tyres in the UK apart from loader or industrial variants.
