Not only did I have to solve my own problems as a kid, adults would bring their problems to me to solve. My grandma would talk to me about her problems anytime we were alone. I also had the same problem as you, not sharing who I am. It really had to do with the lack of faith in myself. Now I have the confidence to tell select people who the I am in me is.
