I was a ten year old kid living in central Nebraska 3 city blocks from Union Pacifics main line. No one can imagine the roar that these jet locomotives produced. They would shake your ribs inside your chest. Many cities banned them from running inside city limits so they were towed by standard locomotives through town. We called them model D-50 Veranda
you probably dont care at all but does anybody know of a way to log back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost the login password. I would love any tips you can give me!
@Joseph Lewis thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
A friend of mine bought one of these when they first came out a few years ago, after you guys visited our club. Hands down the best model of anything I have ever seen in HO scale.
I have turbines 2, 26 and 30. 2 and 30 are Overland models while 26 is your Rivet Counter version. I plan on getting the Museum Quality version soon then I'll have both grades of turbines. I plan on doing a 4-Way Shootout for my club's newsletter after that. Can't get enough of these beasts!
I love the turbines.. I still go back and watch the video I did.. Of the turbine catching fire. one of my most popular videos. these are truly a great locomotive for a modeler to have. the sounds are amazing .
Love these things, absolute awesome show piece. Massive details. I’m trying to justify to the wife just one of these, this layout has multiple units!!!!
Idea: What if the GETEL’s were sold in liveries other then the Union Pacific livery. For example, an All Black Livery (I would like that). I believe that if modelers want to be creative, they should be given the choice to be creative, and that includes having the ability to pick something unique and different. They can choose to paint new liveries on locomotives, and make them their own.
this is so impressive, I wish UP was one of my preferred roads just to own this specific locomotive. keep up the good work putting Ahearn to shame! It'd take some HUGE cojones to weather a $750 locomotive haha
Scale trains turbines are great But the layout --- well my question is WHY DOES EVERYBODY STACK BRIDGES OVER BRIDGES OVER BRIDGES !!!!! MAKES IT LOOK TOY LIKE ----- SORRY

Maybe we should equip these with a rolling thunder receiver

Thank you for sharing, awesome!
You guys make great locomotives!!!! Will you ever decide to produce engines from the 1950s???
195-1961
Another question. In this video the big blow #30 have a 24,000 gallons tender but my model of big blow #30 (2016) have a 23,000 gallons tender. Why?
Big Blow Turbines often swapped out tenders. -Drayton
One of the guys at my local MRR club has this and a lot of other UP stuff. And it's model railroad eye candy, even for me being an Amtrak guy.
Love my #26 !!
I wish i could afford another one. I’m so glad that i have the one that i do. Thank you scale Trains for producing my dream locomotive!
Are you planning to release the DDA40X locomotive model ? I would like to purchase this model in your performance quality . Thanks !

why are the a units empty?
The A units are powered along with the B units. -Drayton
Scaletrains How Can You get the #30 big blow turbine
Where is union Pacific gtel varanda loco
Nice
Спасибо!
Too bad the lay-out doesn't have any signals. Liked the loco's but find it hard to imagine that # 2 is partly empty as visible in the A-part.
This model have smoke units?
They’re non-smokers. -Drayton
Very nice! When will the UP dash 9s be back?😃
when are you going to come out with the third run of the C44-9W in N scale?
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
