Bazz B didnt know that Jugram was being abused physically/sexually. When Jugram told Bazz B that his uncle also died in the assault that also took Bazz B's parents/family, Bazz misunderstood the Jugram's relationship with his uncle. Bazz thought that the two of them would go to become great quincies and avenge their families. Instead it was Yhwach that actually saved Jugo from his uncle. He never had a reason to kill Yhwach. Its an unfortunate situation for Bazz/Jugo. Jugo being approached by Yhwach where he was treated with respect, importance and a sense of belonging gave him a reason to protect him.
Yeah and Bazz B also mentioned " without saying it, we both trained so we could kill Yhwach" but in actuality Jugram never intended to get back at Yhwach because he saved him
The craziest thing: Yhwach was in posession of the Almighty during this time. So not only did he know that Bazz-B would try and kill him, he also knew that he would never succeed, so he never bothered altering the future to prevent it. He literally had 0 respect for Bazz-B outside of being a tool for his ultimate goal!
The uncle was heavily implied to be abusive. That’s why Jugo was seen with bruises on his arms and why Jugram hated being called, “Jugo.” Didn’t seem to care when he died in the fire too.
Easily the best cour and perhaps the best shonen anime of 2024, studio pierrot are treating bleach with alot of care, kubo must be proud asf with the ability to add extra content, given the criticism he received when he was writing this arc years agos 😂
This episode was a 10/10 in my opinion. Haschwalth is one of my favorite Bleach characters. Finally focusing on his story with this kind of quality brings a tear to my eye. And judging by the poem he’s also getting the final episode treatment.
Yhwach became like a father figure to Jugo after killing his abusive uncle, that's why he betrayed Bazz, It's sad that Bazz didn't understand what he was going through, maybe things would have ended differently if he knew.
It's Jugram. You can see Jugram is still trying to avoid fighting him until he calls him Hugo again which likely reminded him of his uncle and why he joint Ywach.
After finishing the manga years ago. It didn't make sense to my why Jugram betrayed Bazz, but after watching this ep Jugram's uncle dying made Yhwach seem like a good person to Jugram and after Yhwach said he needs Jugram secured Jugrams pov of him
@@QuantumFishFTW It didn’t have Bazz’s medallion already embedded into it. Having it embedded in there meant he still thought of Bazz as a friend but lost himself in loyalty
Jugos uncle used to abuse him pretty clearly in the manga as well, but the voice makes sort of implies that he would molest jugo too. This could also be picked up based on the text font in the manga, but this is pretty clear
Main thing Jugram chose Yhwach is that even at the end he saw his best friend was not at all happy with his achievements(judged by Bazz B's glare), but Yhwach says :"I need you with me" just meant so much for Jugram cause in the end nobody expressed this to Jugram, for him even his friend betrayed him with those looks. Hence Jugram is very loyal to Yhwach.
@@QuantumFishFTW Woah "Juxtaposed", someone learning amazing vocabulary, nice👍👍 For people that dont know what this means, it just means adjacent or adjoining.
So you can argue Jugram sided with Yhwach because of 2 things. 1. Ywhach killed Jugram’s crazy abusive gross uncle and Jugram felt a sort of gratitude towards Yhwach for that or 2. Jugram wants to feel needed so when Bazz B looked at him with envy instead of happiness for his friend doing what they were planning to do he felt hurt and then Yhwach gave him reassurance by telling him he needs him so kind of like a Stockholm syndrome kind of thing. It’s also sad that Bazz never really saw Jugram as equals he was only ever really focused on his goal to kill Yhwach. Still very good episode and tragic
Jugram likely didn’t feel any gratitude toward Yhwach for killing his uncle, especially given that Yhwach was responsible for destroying Bazz-B’s home and livelihood. But what can be implied is that Jugram didn’t share Bazz-B’s thirst for revenge because Yhwach killed his uncle. He followed Bazz-B primarily because of their friendship, not out of his own desire for vengeance. However, Jugram ultimately accepted Yhwach’s offer because he started to sense that Bazz-B no longer wanted or needed him. That moment, captured in the look in Bazz-B’s eyes, made it clear to Jugram that their bond was changing. Yhwach, on the other hand, offered Jugram exactly what he lacked in that moment: purpose and belonging. Bazz-B wasn’t solely focused on revenge against Yhwach; he genuinely cared for Jugram and wanted to help him grow as both a fighter and a person. Yet, their friendship was fundamentally uneven and lacked proper communication. Bazz-B, as the son of a lord, had a privileged upbringing, while Jugram was a commoner with no self-worth, molded by the abuse of his uncle. Even though Bazz-B meant well-illustrated by moments like jumping down to offer Jugram his button and the rabbit-it was still a friendship initiated and guided by Bazz-B’s noble perspective. Jugram, on the other hand, rarely asserted himself, always following and remaining stuck in the mindset instilled by his uncle. In many ways, their friendship was doomed from the start due to these fundamental differences.
Bazz-B: This hand of mine glows with an awesome power! Its burning grip tells me to defeat you! TAKE THIS! My love, my anger, and all of my sorrow! BURNING FULL FINGERS! Jugo: No.

I think it was never Jugos goal to kill yhwach. BazzB was just so self absorbed that he set his goal of ending yhwach for the two of them (without asking if thats really what Jugo wanted all along). He always calls it "our" revenge and their friendship is kinda built on that but it honestly really is only his own revenge. Still Jugo clearly likes BazzB and tries his best to keep him safe/not hurt him. But BazzB is simply too stubborn and proud to accept stopping.... so he gets inevitably cut down :(
Yeah, it can be implied that since Yhwach killed his uncle, he wasn't hellbent on killing him for revenge like Bazz-B was, and he followed Bazz-B primarily because of their friendship. While his friendship with Bazz-B was sincere, it was also uneven and lacked proper communication. Bazz-B clearly cared deeply for Jugram, both as a person and as a friend, even until the very end. However, Jugram’s understanding of worth and relationships was heavily warped by the abuse he endured. To him, “worth” was tied to being wanted and needed, and he viewed relationships as something that must result in mutual gain. When Jugram saw the look in Bazz-B’s eyes, it caused him to feel unneeded and unwanted, shaking the foundation of their bond. This perception played a key role in his eventual decision to accept Yhwach’s offer, as Yhwach provided what Jugram believed he lacked: a sense of purpose and value.
i saw this on another comment, but apparently Kubo confirmed that Bazz's "H - Heat" and Haschwalth's"B - Balance" are influenced by each other. another comment I saw which may be a stretch, is that in BLEACH, the "B" and "H" are farthest apart, with "A" (Almighty) being in the middle, signifying how Yhwach drove a wedge between the two.

Just because Yhwach killed his uncle doesn't mean Jugram doesn't want to kill him. He's willing to help Bazz kill Yhwach as a friend. That's why when Yhwach recruited him, his first response was looking at Bazz. But then Bazz got angry, so it goes downhill from there.
