For me, this will always be an anthem to the most beautiful supermodel of them all: the iconic Margaux Hemingway. She had this classic song written just for her and the song’s title couldn’t have been more fitting. ❤❤❤
I love this song and the Faberge commercials with the beautiful Margaux Hemingway. It brings back good memories from my childhood.. 😊 God bless America and all the fans from this wonderful song.Faberge products and the one and only the sexy Margaux. 😊
I was the producer of this single at Sigma Sound Studios NY in the 70's. After it was finished I danced round the city at 4 am playing the track over and over. I remember the harp player was a huge black man. I wonder what Kenny is doing today? And Bob Larimer who wrote the song (and the original jingle). Thanks to NaturalSoulBrother1 for uploading it - I had lost my only copy here in London. Chris
kenny is still writing and producing groups in fact.. bob is back working on a stage plays i hear... Chris, how did you get involved wih this its a great slick production just amazing... stand ups thirtys years on.... the string and vocals etc
heard this song in the 70s when i was a kid really loved it and have only discovered it again , thanks for posting brings back great memories, fab songs and great time to grow up
I Looked for this for years , lush arrangements and soulful beats seem to Lift one's Spirits somehow , I for One Miss this era of Music, romantisisim replaced today by cynicisim. Yes we Index know the Price of everything and the value of nothing.
Suicide at age 42. Despite her fame, beauty and big multi million dollar contract with Fabergé, she felt she couldn’t go on. Very sad. Remember her and get siblings, Hemingway family.
thank you for your post. I like and look for this song for a long long time ago since it's released. I have this song in cassette tape format. / R.Siriwong / Thailand
I had this on 7" record. In September 2012 I moved house and my beloved record collection was stolen by the lovely removal men.It brakes my hart every time I recall another single Iv lost. Glad to see that I was not the only person to have heard of this song, although looks like the only one to buy it. It was featured on an advert for Babe perfume....Do you remember that.
Indeed I do Marie, in the Autumn of 1977, and still have this somewhere on vinyl. Noel Edmonds played it a lot on his early morning Radio 1 show, but then the BBC realised they were unwittingly advertising. After a short time it was replaced by a version where Kenny sang 'girl' rather than 'babe', but it just wasn't the same!
I've just heard this on an aircheck of Kenny Everett on Capital Radio (London ) from 1977. Fabulous ! 😃

I was also used as a soundtrack for advertising a fragrance in the Seventies.
I think it was for Fabergé “Babe” fragrance. The model was the legendary Margeaux Hemingway.
Dead right. Great 70's cut, recorded at Sigma Sound New York.
I found Paula Marie on Facebook. "You're Fabulous Babe!"
Great tune but no video 😥
