Mine have the same problem and I have thermostat and it's working when I check it and I change the relay twice but still the compressor work 24h without cooling the water don't know what's the problem

If does not auto cut off, you will not get cool water, inside will be full ice
If inside full ice , than you have to see automatic sensor
