Visit Bulubudtua Falls in Barira, Maguindanao

  • Nestled within the secluded mountains of Barangay Nabalawag, Barira, Maguindanao is the hidden paradise, the Bubuludtua Falls.
    Flowing approximately 200 meters high, it is said that if you look at the falls from above, you will see a rainbow.
    In 2011, the falls was originally discovered not to become a tourist park, but rather as a potential source of hydroelectric power. Finally, it opened as an eco-tourism destination to the public in 2016.
    From being a conflict zone, the development of Bubuludtua Falls and its neighboring areas is part of the local government's goal of boosting the economic, tourism, and livelihood opportunities in Bangsamoro communities, particularly the transformed Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) camps.
