20 years ago at a hospital known as avoyelles hospital in Marksville Louisiana I got a CT scan without contrast on a GE QXI scanner with the display being on the left and right side and same for the controls but in the control room the patient bed is controlled on the computer and they did have an intercom system for the scanner I’ve never had an MRI done before plus my past neurologists never prescribed me an MRI I had one who wanted to get me one done with and without contrast but with my history of not having an MRI done before with contrast I was so scared I refused the scan even though I opted for an open MRI
I have a question regarding when a CT scan is performed. Is it necessary for the gantry to rotate around the body to get the images required. or can your body be scanned by just having the body be moved back and forth into the machine while holding your breath .Also is there a light that comes on.
Lose dose. Low dose radiation? Radiation in any amount is not good for a human being, correct? Why not just call it what it is, a low dose of radiation? It is like you are trying to minimize any anxiety a person may have about being exposed to radiation. And the contrast material is actually an iodine substance, correct?
Hi, it’s low-dose meaning it has little, if any, harmful effects to the body. It’s an even lower amount of radiation than you might get at the dentist.

"It's like you're trying to minimize any anxiety..." you have a problem with that? Are they supposed to try scare you for no reason? You get more radiation when you fly in an airplane at 30,000 feet on a minimal bases and commercial pilots do it all of the time. Do some research before you criticize.
@@fredtaylor9792 Fred, all I ask for is truth. A single CT scan is equal to hundreds of regular x-rays. That is a lot of radiation exposure. People have a right to know the truth. A CT scan should only be done if absolutely necessary. See, I did the research.
Turning people into zombie. Just had one yesterday, my head got nuked with the equivalent of 2 years radiation. Too bad I didn't know about the amount of radiation received. Let see in 10years how this fked me up...

Gantry has to move for 3d view and light tells about where the x-rays are falling .

I had it 2 days ago and my CT scan reports are hopefully normal ,but I have a strong migraine from last night n I think it's because of the radiation.
