You sing surprisingly well. If I didn't know you don't drink, I would have thought there was a little festive lubrication behind this whole fun video. Anyway hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful 2022.
Nice list - I think a lot of people won't get your sarcasm in that intro and peg you for an angry person 😂. Well, Happy new year... and let's hope for the best!
Happily, I don't have to ask, "where's the GOAT list? where's the GOAT list" since I know I can rely on you to post one -- and a good one at that (as always).
Lovely review, I see there are some pens that are a "staple" in the collection, and they are truly worth re-showing every year. Looking forward to what 2022 will bring.
The Yard O Led looks glorious and now I must have it. Not inexpensive but well worth the price I imagine. Something to pass on to my daughter when I’m not hanging out with the mortals.
I love the Cross Peerless with the Sailor nib. I bought 8 Jinhao 166 fountain pens in two tone green with F nibs to gift to friends. Excellent writers. I bought a few black Jinhao X750 fountain pens to swap Bock stub nibs into for Birthday presents to some of my writing friends. I use 3 vintage pens myself. A green Parker 17 lady pen, a Conway Stewart 84 with a 14k gold medium stub flexy nib and an old black Parker piston filler with no identification marks. I love vintage pens and mechanical wrist watches. Happy and I'm smiling, living in the past. J Tull. Happy New year from England., where my heart lies.
Thank you, Stephen, for this great lineup, I was looking forward to it and I enjoyed it a lot. Thank you for everything you did for us this year. I hope there are many years to follow. I guess you made up your mind according to the arco-choice? Have fun, take care, and I wish you a happy and healthy 2022.
Thank you, Stephen, for all the time and effort you put into your videos as well as the information and humor! That really is a great remuda of thoroughbred horses. I only own the Ensso XS from this group and agree that it's performance and comfort surprised me a lot. I'll only dream about the rest. Please have a safe, happy, healthy and FUN 2022 which almost cannot fail to be better than the previous two. Sincerely, thank you for all you do for us.
Just wanna use this end of year video to thank you Stephen for all the great educational and entertaining content you keep making. Even when I don't care much for the pen reviewed I can't hold myself from watching the video and I always have a good time doing so. Happy new year to you
I enjoyed your 2021 GOAT pen video. I’m a closet Montblanc user (for sentimental reasons, but then again I have a couple of decades on you). My 149 sits nicely next to my YOL~VG Victorian. All my favorite pens have great/sentimental stories behind them.
Thank you, Dr Brown, for sharing your list with us in UA-cam land. Have a wonderful New Year filled with plenty of pens and wet flowing inks, Happy New Year. Chelsea
Thanks for the GOAT 2021, I love how your list changes every year! I bought my first Leonardo this year (steel nib) and am really fond of the way it fits in my hand and how it writes. Love the reviews, hope you will keep it going on in 2022.
+1 on the Magna Carta Elements. I have the Air model and really enjoy using it. My nib was fine flow wise for me, only issue I had was due to Hiren using a silicone sac as weather pressure changes at the end of the UK spring meant that ink was pushed in to the cap when I left the pen on it's side when not in use, as I am want to do). I now keep it at an angle. The nib and feed (which is ebonite) are almost in-house - I believe they are made by different companies but all three are either Hiran's or belong to his family. I know the feeds are now being sold separately in the UK (and I believe Europe and the US).
That Lambrou pen is the exact same colour as Jesus' robes on one of my old Mum's holy pictures. The one that watches you while you hide from your housework. Happy New Year to you and all our pen family.
Very enjoyable PIUMTTY 2021 (Pens I’ve Used Mount Throughout This Year) video; thank you 🙏 Was however left rather disappointed at seeing not a single hopping goat!
Thanks Stephen for yet another great year in reviews! It gives me great joy to think your wife is nearby rolling her eyes as she hears you sing to us or do your falsetto mockery of the anticipated complaints you think will be coming your way. No matter how nice these pens all look or that they’re mostly gold nibs, your consistent mention of the stellar writing experience is what rules first for most of us. THAT’s what makes it fun!!! Hope you had a great holiday season.
LOL your intro monologue. I was looking forward to DipiityDo and BoppityBoo Pen reviews! 😅. Thanks for all the 2021 reviews and your list of GOAT pens.
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! Great GOAT list :D nice to see you don't look down on steel nibs! just happen to have 2 models from your list - the Leonardo and Cross Peerless, and they are amazing pens. Looking forward to a Magna Carta in 2022
Honestly, a beautiful video. Started off with a real genuine belly laugh, can’t wait for the review of the Diddly Doo! Then seeing and hearing about the pens which you have real love for, and that really shines through - it’s not a review, although I do love your reviews, this is far more personal and I love that. I may have to revisit all the other GOAT videos! (Oh and yes, the rendition of My Way was actually lovely too)
A wonderful video Stephen - a parade of perfect pens! Some I recognise as old favourites, some are new to me but gorgeous nonetheless. I wish you a very happy new year ✍👍🏾🥳
Thank you very much Stephen for all the information and advice you give us in your videos, I have learned a lot. Thank you also for letting me know those beautiful writing instruments that unfortunately for me are very far from being able to have them or even touch them due to the high costs but, thanks to you that you bring them to us through the screen. Maybe one day I can get a fountain pen like that, in the meantime I will continue to enjoy seeing them through you. Congratulations and a very happy new year. From Xalapa, Veracruz. Mexico
GOAT will always be a subjective thing. 😁 I can't speak to a lot of the pens you showed, but I do have a Yard O Led as a grail pen. Exactly like the one you have. Fortunately, I like a broad range of writing experiences, so I can understand your choices. Looking forward to seeing what you think about next year, as I've truthfully enjoyed the ones from this year. Thanks for sharing your valuable opinions, Dr Brown!
Thank you for the tongue in cheek Comrade and song at the beginning, the expression on your face was priceless! The rant for why no Mont Blanc and Pelikan was also a joy to listen too, I still have a smile on my face :) Lastly Happy New Year and thank you for sharing your beautiful pens “eye candy” as you put it plus your opinion on them. The Yard O Led is beautiful, never seen it before (UK )
Thanks for the great inside in your used pens. i have one question in mind wether you sold your pelikan pens, because you owned several ones like the m800 tortoise shell?
Now, while the Montblanc and Pelikan issure has been adressed earlier....sir, I fail to see a single Montegrappa in this vid. And this is very serious, because if you go and check UA-cam setting has that option in the menu called "Report for lack of Montegrappas". I'll let it slide just this once, but only because it's a big holliday tomorrow.
No, you're wrong. :-) It's a fun list. Definitely the Yard-o-led is on my list. Darth Vader ought to be, but I'm wary of Cross as a brand. The Magna Carta resin is beautiful.
To be fair, I am wary of Cross as a brand: it's just not my brand, with the emphasis on slim pens. Having said that, the Peerless is a more girthy pen and with the Sailor nib, the writing experience is incredibly pleasant (I find)
Wow that Visconti speakeasy is nice but you better have some top shelf liquor in there to help stomach the cost. 😄 The yard o led is a breathtaking work of art. ❤️ Thanks for the eye candy from someone who just found your channel.
Happy New Year!! What a beautiful voice, you should sing in every video! And I'm sure the version you're singing was the one by the Sex Pistols! Love your videos, every one! Thank you for your professionalism and easiness. Your topics are always interesting and I hope you will keep on doing reviews of our beloved fountain pens and papers. Best wishes for an outstanding good 2022 from Italy! Buon anno!!
I mean, not owning a Montblanc or a Pelican is perfectly understandable, but with all the affordable and workhorse models from Zippety Zap, I’m surprised-not shocked or offended, but surprised-not to see one here. *pokes hole in cheek with tip of tongue*
Entertaining as always (I particularly like the voice you use when imitating the people who leave bone-headed comments). And who knew you could sing? If the professor thing doesn't work out, maybe there's a future for you in the music industry... (American Idol?)
Just gotten montblanc 146, it's not even close to my conid with titanium nib, conid with titanium nib is my favourite, next new pen (this summer) will be a conid again...
Given what the pen selection actually is, you should probably change the title from GOAT to something like Dr Brown's Favorites Of The Year. Doesn't "DBROTY" just roll of the tongue?? 😄
Merci, I would welcome some Bill Cosby voice impersonating next time. My list for 2021: Conid Bulkfiller agreed good pen but mine is sticky on the fills. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's curious about which pens you decide to keep over time.

Love how you dismiss, dispose of, all the grinches before taking your 2021 pens to paper.... ta da! Bingo! Hit the mark & happy new year!
You sing surprisingly well.
If I didn't know you don't drink, I would have thought there was a little festive lubrication behind this whole fun video. Anyway hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful 2022.
Happy New Year!!! This was fun!!!
I am especially enjoying your singing and humor. Wishing you a wonderful healthy New Year.
Hey Mr. sbrebrown...Just wanted you to know I've been watching your video's for years and have enjoyed all of them. Thank you & Happy New Year.
Thanks again Stephen and may 2022 be a better year for us all and may we see some wonderful pens too!
Nice list - I think a lot of people won't get your sarcasm in that intro and peg you for an angry person 😂.
Well, Happy new year... and let's hope for the best!
The intro with the disclaimer was a great skit, Dr. 😁
Mycroft: He’s all ME ME ME isnt he?
GReat selections Dr. Brown! Thank you for sharing!
Really enjoyed that, thank you. Merry Christmas and have a great new year!
You sing a lot prettier than I thought you would, don't stop 🥺
Nice cap! 🎅🏾🎅🏾🎅🏾

It was cool to see the Speakeasy make the GOAT list again. Thanks for the video, Stephen.
I look forward to this each year!

Some old, some new. It shows the evolution of your collection & it's interesting to see what replaces a previous GOAT (where 'All' is just 1 year).
Words I never thought I would hear from you mouth: "A bit too girthy for me." (Conid Bulkfiller)
I legit had a panic attack when you started singing that song; I thought it was all over.
For me the best pen is from Parker brand. It work every way and it is very smouth.
I like Parker 45. Parker quality is true for me.
LOL your intro monologue. I was looking forward to DipiityDo and BoppityBoo Pen reviews! 😅. Thanks for all the 2021 reviews and your list of GOAT pens.
A sip of tea? Man gulped that down!
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! Great GOAT list :D nice to see you don't look down on steel nibs! just happen to have 2 models from your list - the Leonardo and Cross Peerless, and they are amazing pens. Looking forward to a Magna Carta in 2022

Enjoyed seeing your pens as usual, but no Pelikan? 🤣 Happy New Year to you Dr. Brown 🎉
Absolutely perfect intro....
Merry Christmas and a happy New Year mate. All the best.
You're one of the got.
Love your Sophistication.
I do love the Ensso also , great little edc pen. Nice job
Mango is a tropical fruit, with that color. Thank you!
Love your version of 'My Way"
Mango because it's the color of a mango. The fruit. Great review.

Have you heard of an ink called Mahatma Ghandi (I forgot who made it)? its A very Bright Yellow... that too would look great in the Conid as well.
Good to see you Dr.

When can we get the greatest hits cover songs on vinyl?
Can we get a GOAT inks edition too?
Entertaining as always (I particularly like the voice you use when imitating the people who leave bone-headed comments). And who knew you could sing? If the professor thing doesn't work out, maybe there's a future for you in the music industry... (American Idol?)
OMG! When are the Conid folks resume making pens?! Want one! Love that pen!
Have been lusting for a Conid but they have been out of production for most of this year.
Sigh. I cannot relate to any of these pen choices as they are all well out of my budget. Thank you for sharing.
Just gotten montblanc 146, it's not even close to my conid with titanium nib, conid with titanium nib is my favourite, next new pen (this summer) will be a conid again...

Hello. Wishes for a Happy New Year. Many thanks for your videos. Question: can you provide info on your intro theme? Many thanks. Cheers.
Yes, and if you don't mind, I'll refer you to a part of my website, because I go into detail there: www.sbrebrown.com/frequently-asked-questions
@@sbrebrown thank you so much. Take care. 👋🏻
Great opening song. For a minute, I thought you were bowing out like Matt Armstrong.
I miss Matt Armstrong and his reviews. Wish he'd come back and I hope Stephen NEVER bows out.
Thank you Stephen. Pen lust, once again... Best for 2022.
Wonderful GOAT takedown of fountain pen PITAs!
Carry on, Doctor!!
I want a dippity doo pen!! Haha
I'm surprised we didn't see your classic Visconti Opera Elements and your Visconti Opera Master. I suppose that means you didn't use them as much this year.
Stephen, do you think you'll have ever have a page on your site with a picture of your current collection of pens? I'm sure I'm not the only one who's curious about which pens you decide to keep over time.
I could work on that
