    You describe well about the formula of Simple moving average On cell F14(Avg.Gain) and on cell G14(Avg.Loss). In excel Simple average is "average" formula. But technically skipped about the average formulas of Cell F15 and Cell G15 (Which most people fail to understand). No one can understand why you use different types of average formula on Cell F15 and Cell G15 if you not describe well. You must have to say that, The formula of RSI is based on Exponential Moving Average. This is why on Cell F15 and Cell G15 we need to input the formula of Exponential Moving Average. Many may have a question that why the formula of "Exponential Moving Average" not input on the Cell F14 and Cell G14 directly. The answer is, No one can calculate "Exponential Moving Average" on the very first day. On the very first day "Exponential Moving Average" is unknown to all. This is why to calculate "Exponential Moving Average" we use simple moving average for the first time only.

    By the way, the RSI formula has a mistake. it is missing a division. There should be a division between 100 and (1+RS). It should be RSI=100-100/(1+RS), not RSI=100-100(1+RS).

    • @indzara
      @indzara  Рік тому

      Thank you for highlighting the same.
      We have used RSI=100-100/(1+RS) inside our template calculation but due to typo error on the concept explanation it is incorrect.
      We will update the same in our video and concept description as soon as possible.
      Best wishes.

    Sir, instead of typing stock names every time, can v create a list of stocks and then in front each stock names show the rsi values ? For example creating a list of nifty 50, nifty next 50 nitty 250 etc. Please help

      Yes, we can use a Macro to automatically change the ticker symbol from the list in the template to get the RSI value and update it in the symbols table. We have done the same in our premium version of the technical indicator template that provides 25 technical indicator values along with RSI. Following is the link to the template for quick reference:

      @@indzara You already used the formula of exponential average on Cell F15 and Cell G15. So, how could you say that, RSI is based on simple moving average. You wrote the formula in cell F15 and G15 . And don't you know which formula you wrote in cell F15 and G15 ?

    Sir how to calculate weekly and monthly RSI in Google Sheets for NSE

    • @indzara
      @indzara  5 місяців тому +1

      Thank you for reaching out to us.
      The concept of how to calculate the RSI is available in our Excel template on the sheet named Concept. You can download the Excel template from the below link:
      indzara.com/free-excel-template-for-rsi-technical-indicator/
      To get the google finance data, you will need to use Google Finance function in Google Sheets as shown below:
      =GOOGLEFINANCE("NASDAQ:TSLA","all","01-Jan-2024",21)
      Then you can apply the concept shown in the Excel sheet on Google Sheets. Note: The concept is defined for 14 days, instead, you will need to use 5 days for a week and 22 or 21 days for a month.
      Best wishes.

      @@indzara thanks sir , I got through with Weekly data but can you please make monthly RSI calculation video for NSE STOCKS .

    • @indzara
      @indzara  5 місяців тому +1

      We are glad that you got the weekly interval RSI. Since Monthly interval is not available in Google Finance, you will need to calculate the Open, Close, Low and High for the monthly data.
      For dates you can use the below function to get months:
      =ARRAYFORMULA(DATE(2023,SEQUENCE(24),1))
      The above formula returns 24 months. You can change the year and number of months required.
      To get the close value from the daily/weekly finance data, you can use the below formula:
      =IFERROR(INDEX(F:F,ARRAYFORMULA(SMALL(IF(($B:$B>=I6)*(B:B
