I met this beautiful woman at a photographers studio in the early 80s. She was wearing little or no makeup ...her face freckled . She was unassuming. Very low key . We talked a bit while we waited for the photographer to leave the set. She asked me what we were doing. I told her we were shooting a fashion catalog and she seemed very interested and asked me a few questions about how we did it and for whom we we were doing the photography. I did not acknowledge that I knew her cause I wanted it to be a normal situation. I have always thought she was a brilliant actress but from that day I admired her even more for who she was as a person.

Lee Remick was a great actress. For some reason, her acting never received anywhere near the recognition that she deserved. Her acting was subtle, nuanced, honest, realm and interesting, something rare now days. Her acting in Days of Wine and Roses was, and still is, some of the best acting of all time, male or female. And the prettiest actress of them all. Her face had character, and not just a bland frozen mannequin.

I was a teenager in the 60's and had a big crush on Lee Remick. I saw her as one of the most beautiful women in the world. My view of her was heavily influenced by her beautiful authentic open honest personality, and I will always hold her in that high regard.

I worked at her father's department store for about six years, the visits from Lee Remick were always special days. Lee Remick was jaw-dropping beautiful and always so friendly and approachable. her father was the same, working for him was an experience that I carried with me for my entire working life. The store and the atmosphere created there was a direct reflection of the Remick Name. Remick's of Quincy, Unique for the times.

She was always one of my favorite actresses. As a pilot for a commuter airline a number of years ago, I had her as a passenger on one of my flights to Hyannis, on Cape Cod. At the end of the flight, she came up to the cockpit, thanked us and handed me a rose. I will never forget her gracious gesture. A truly kind and beautiful woman.

Beauty like Lee’s is timeless. She would be considered just as beautiful if she were a young star now. And I don’t mean beauty in the model sense, but in the combined sense of form and substance. I have a feeling that she was just as beautiful on the inside as out.

Lee was a very charming, pleasant and very pretty lady with green eyes and a great smile. I spoke with her a few times at length and remember how caring and polite she was. She spoke of her father and the business back in Mass. and how she missed it at times. I was very lucky to have crossed paths with her,...God Rest her soul,............

So sad to end that way....I saw "Days of Wine and Roses" as a teen with my father who was a heavy drinker and was I terrified of alcoholism forever afterwards. He died the same year he took me to see that movie.People used to tell me I looked alot like her in my 20's and 30's and I guess I did...same coloring and general size and facial features. I never knew whether my father TOOK me to see to see that movie as as a caution or not. Needless to say I have been very very careful of alcohol my entire life and have now lived to a fairly ripe old age myself and very happily too I might add. She meant alot in my life....

A very complete bio of Lee. Thank you so much Jerry for including Bill Colleran, the father of her children. He did love her so. I had the honor of working with Bill in the late 70's and early 80's. I got to meet his son once as he visited his dad at the studio we were doing a taping at. And after I knew Bill for a while he shared with me the story about that fateful night of the car accident ( a Thunderbird I think it was) leaving the Frank Sinatra party and how life had changed over the years for him. One summer's day I rebuilt the carburetor of his Buick as he was short on cash and I wanted to learn all about TV from him - seemed like a good trade! Thanks too for the great archival photos of Lee with Bill and their kids. I lost track of Bill when I left 'the biz' so thank you for telling that part of the story!

I was very surprised to learn that Lee Remick was only 55 when she died, a year younger than I am now. Not young but far from old. Lee Remick seems to have been able to avoid the pinup girl phase some actresses, such as Marilyn Monroe, went through. Miss Remick had a distinctive classiness about her; someone once referred to her as "patrician" and I agree. You can tell she was made for excellent, serious acting work.

I saw her in the pre-Broadway tryout of "Agnes of God" in Boston. (She was replaced before Broadway by Elizabeth Ashley). Having admired her for years, I went to the stage door after the performance. She was in her mid-late 40s at the time, and absolutely stunning. I awkwardly told her how much I always admired her work; she thanked me and signed my program (as did Geraldine Page and Amanda Plummer). I still have the program! Classy lady, great actress, and gone way too soon at age 55. Thankfully she lives on in film.

I love this--brought me to tears. I have always loved Lee Remick, one of my all time favorite actresses. She was not only beautiful, she was a fabulous actress. I just recently discovered "Experiment in Terror" with Glenn Ford, on a Movies channel--great film. You did a wonderful job telling her life and I learned a lot I didn't know. Thank you, Jerry!

I grew up enjoying watching her on TV and in movies. I still enjoy watching her in reruns. She looked so natural in every role she played that I noticed her talent over her beauty. She was so beautiful too. I never heard about her battle with cancer and her untimely death. I will miss her. Rest In Peace, Lee Remick. You are loved by your fans.

I had no idea about Lee's life after having met her in Cape Cod, Mass. My husband and I used to stay at a lovely little cottage/rooming house in Hyannis, and that is where we met. I can't recall which husband she was with but the year was around 1958/59. She was a lovely and beautiful person and had no airs about being a movie star. Watching this short little video about Lee brought back so many memories.

For me, that heart of gold was tarnished, when she left her husband for a married British guy...she did not seem like the type to do that.

I had the pleasure of working with Miss Remick on a Reynold paper plate commercial in the 70's. She was a lovely woman. What wasn't covered in this fine biopic is the fact that Remick was exposed to radiation fallout while filming Halleluhea Trail in Coyote Canyon, NM. It was only 50 miles from Alamogordo where numerous a-bomb tests were detonated during the Manhattan project. Kidney and other cancers were visited on many actors that filmed in desert areas where fallout occurred. In later years when this trend became obvious, it was suspected that this was the originating cause of her cancer.
