All the benefits of metal are available in the cards issued in plastic, including that of apple, ITC, etc. That is clear from HDFC website and also confirmed from customer careIf one has plastic Infinia LTF, no need to upgrade to metal and pay an annual fee of 12.5K. plus GST.
is it really possible to get plastic infinia in LTF?

The problem is disposing off these metal cards , it’s really crazy you can throw them as they have your info and you can’t cut them either .
What will you do with the card info? The expired card doesn't give any benefits.

In the comments pls answer which feels more cool 1. Paying through a metal card at the counter, 2. Paying through a MST enabled Phone at the counter, 3. Paying through a MST enabled watch at the counter. MST and NFC are two different things, NFC works only on new POS terminals showing NFC logo, MST works on every POS terminal no matter how old the terminal is.
I think paying via watch is the coolest option.
I recently upgraded from Diners Black to Infinia. So worth the pain !!
I don't think they'll add any specific features to metal card compares to PVC card, if they wanted to do it they could have done that at the launch only as they don't have any plans for issuing new PVC card so in future automatically every Infinia holder will get upgraded to metal card after the expiry of card

And I am using pvc infinia credit card but not get upgrade for infinia metal credit card,then I called customer care to take the request for metal credit card after 2 days, I got upgraded metal credit card and it is on the way.

Why I did not take infinia metal and sticking to dcb :
1. I am able to get fee waiver for spending 5 lakhs.
2. Most of the month when I spend 50 to 60k hdfc is kind enough to give me gift vouchers worth 750 to 1000. No idea why coz I don't get spend based offers mail from hdfc.
3. I will have to pay 14750 for infinia Coz I will not be able to reach 10 lakhs as of now where else I pay 0 due to fee waiver.
4. International travel is still not open so will not be able to purchase flight tickets to get 15k points.
5. The 2+1 offer for ITC is a joke. They are selling at max cost tariff which is equivalent to booking in make my trip for 3 days seperately.
6. I get 1000 gift voucher if I spend 80k in a month.
7. 2x for dining where else it is discontinued with infinia. These are just few I remember.
Con of dcb :
Last year I lost around 4K PLUS worth points because of non acceptance of DCB.

Within 2 yrs, it can be upgraded. But everything depend upon your spending and credit limit.

Only for upgrade it's first year free. For new Card you needs to spend 3 lakhs to avoid membership fee on 4th month bill. The executive given correct information only

My dad was upgraded to HDFC Infinia after having a Regalia for ~8 months when we shifted our accounts from ICICI to HDFC. Spending a lot through by credit card also having a good amount of cash in account helped him a lot. Manager of the branch called him and offered him the credit card. Also, I guess the CIBIL score might've helped him too.

@@YC-bi4kj I politely disagree with you, I personally have shifted my salary account from ICICI to HDFC and I'm totally satisfied with its service, not even a single complain over last 6 years is more than enough for me to trust HDFC and not even to look for alternatives, experience might vary based on RM but so far I have just met 1 friend who was not satisfied but that too because of his own unrealistic demands and nothing else

If you acces your HDFC netbanking then go to credit card section there you can find card upgradation option . Or you can do it by signing the physical form also .
