A very Interesting Video, as I was once connected by working the night shift producing the wing fittings for wing landing gear. My day mate and I made the first few sets of gear ribs and spars used in NDT and destructive testing plus used in the first A380 test-flying aeroplane. We used to make the same components for the then Airbus fleet of Aircraft until 2003 when sadly our company closed after trading for over 60 years. But It left me still very proud to be connected to A380 number one.

*_Former Boeing Everett.... we invented Jumbo Jets decades ago...._*
This is an old video... NO MORE A-380's will ever be built.... end of production. I can still remember when Boeing and Airbus were presented with requests from different airlines on the future of very large aircraft.
Boeing bet that the market would end in less than 2 decades... and it did. Boeing presented a supersized B-747 rather than a new plane. It had already committed to the B-777 and soon to be released B-787. Entire market was changing from Hub and Spoke to Point to Point Regional Airports. The market for large was going to end.
Like Airbus, Boeing also quite making it's own Jumbo Jet. It is also phasing out 57's and 67's. B-737, B-777, and B-787 is where the demand is now. Their 797 is already being designed, but won't be released for 5-10 more years.
*_Boeing appreciates what Airbus has contributed to Aviation..._*

The designers goofed up on the initial wing twist and had to retwist it again which cots a lot of time and money. Then there is the cracking problem.

A mate of mine worked for Qantas. I was told airbus were giving away these planes. Qantas couldn’t say no. Airbus had to sell 250 to brake even. No telling how long that took. Cabin crew have told be that things are always braking in the cabin and parts are expensive. Airbus was never a threat to the 747. Things inside the cabin at least to me appear cheap and flimsy.
