It is because Koreans love drinking cold beverage even in winter for some reasons like a quick temper or cultural things! But I don’t know exact reason😅
Maybe it was in a drama? I've noticed after reading webtoons and watching Korean vloggers that occasionally something in a webtoon will go viral, and then you'll see it all over the place. Like when this one comic (i forget what it was called) was very popular (the drama version was released), suddenly everyone had butterfly things, or got a butterfly tattoo. The male character in the comic had a butterfly tattoo... the iced americano thing or iced vanilla latte MUST have been in something because I seen tons of vloggers who only drink that in winter. Personally I live in a desert that is VERY hot in summer and quite cold in winter, I'm not fucking with that haha! I want my drinks cold af in summer or ill die of heat stroke (I actually did get a mild heat stroke when I first moved here and couldn't cope lol) and I'll have hot in winter or else my ass will freeze off.
