Kryz be looking at Slater with so much proudness in her eyes. Loooove you both!
This is what is all about when two people respect each other, listen to each other and point 'problems' to each other, without getting offended when 'mistakes' are made or issues come up. NOONE can be 100%right all the time and things can always be improved after you have finished a project, that you thought it was perfect. A drawing or a 'picture' can look perfect but in the real world while living in the house, is what makes you see what works and what does not. This was a very good video, for all to learn how things work in real life, no matter how knowledgable and educated one is. You guys seem perfect together.
Regarding your sponsor, I saw you using that mighty bond sa sapatos. I went to 7-Eleven the other day and they have another type na dedicated para sa mga sapatos. I tried the regular one. Dun sa other things that needed an instant glue, ok siya, it's working nicely. Pero some of stuff I used it on, it doesn't work at all. I even timed doing a press for a whole minute pero it won't stick. I even clean the surfaces.
I think Slater Young is great. If he wasn't busy and expensive, I'd would hire him to build my dream house. He's very meticulous and I think that's a good thing for house owners to have an engineer na iniisip both ang kapakanan ng home owner and his own reputation.
I am always impressed by how Slater explains things in layman's terms smoothly and his confidence in how he says it. And as a sophomore college student taking CE, I get to grasp some new ideas from him that I didn't get to learn from my university (though I am still studying) about construction and how to know which contractors should be trusted and who should not.
Sameeee
I am a huge fan of this channel. I am not an engineer nor an architect but I am a house enthusiast. And i like this particular topic because i can relate 100 percent. Everyday, when i wake up, my routine is to visit every place in the house and in the garden to check for things that need fixing. I like what Slater said about house maintenance. It looks never ending because a house is a complex structure that needs constant care and fixing of tiny issues that if not addressed right away, might cause a bigger and more expensive renovation. And I think a house is very dynamic…it is constantly changing. Kryz is right when she said it will never be done. But owning a house and seeing it grow and change with you is one of the best experiences in life. More power to your channel. More topics like this Slater. Thank you for sharing your home with us through your vlogs.😊
I really admire this couple always having a conversation that allow each of them to recognize and validate each feelings and convictions. And also very informative talaga si slater especially sa mga gaya namin homeowners. Really have a lot of learnings with his videos.
watching Engr. Slater regarding house construction gives me hope to pursue Architecture kahit na buburn out na ako sa mga plates ko hoping na maipasa ko mga subjects ko ngayong sem. 2nd yr archi student here sir Slater. More power sa inyo ni Architect Llyan.
Slater's passion as he talk about building and all that engineering stuff 😍
I've always admired you in complementing our profession, especially to us Architects.
For us, User experience is very very important. That's why I always remind my clients in every planning stage, that it's the most important thing to consider.
Pls talk about waterproofing. You’re actually my way to convince my husband on every house project I have in mind.
I can really relate to Kryz 😭 especially with the repairs and maintenance of the house 😅
That was pretty interesting! Especially now that our house is also under reno. It's a headache! 😵💫 But i undertstand when Slater said live in it kaagad kahit hindi pa tapos. We're living in our house as its being worked on and I can say its easier and faster to spot problem areas and point it our to the contractor.
Also, got me thinking about buying the new Mighty Bond... Slater has a way of explaining that makes things easy to grasp. 🙂
oo..kaya I tagged him before if he was a professor in an Engineering class, I won't go absent. haha
@@yohan433 definitely! He should consider teaching. 😁
I am also an engineer but I am still learning a lot from you Sir Slater. Thank you very much. God bless you and your family.
Construction guides pls . What to check when construction is already ongoing? Like what Kryz says, “i dont know what to look for”
very very very sensible :) both of them and what they've been discussing. also the marriage dynamics! really inspiring!
The way Kryz looks is just melting. She's like this is how you look when you truly love and respect someone and is your best friend.
Hello Engineer! How about your board exam journey? Quizzer po ba kayo nung college? Saan po kayo nag review for board exam, and how did you prepare for your board exam. And tips for newly passed civil engineers. Thank you!

From Kryz’s channel to Slater’s 😁 Happy Sunday fam. ☺️
Thank you so much Sir Slater! I love how you give appreciation especially to the importance of the role of the architect in designing buildings. I hope your videos give a more positive view to us architects in our country. God bless!
Wow! This is very informative. We're actually renovating and completing some parts of our house and this content is very helpful. Hope magkaron din ng Q&A content si Sir Slater with his subscribers or skyfam community. God bless 😊
Im really inspired by Slater's technical ideas. Im building our small family house in my province and I always consider Slater's tips/ideas. Hahaha kahit di man siya ma apply dahil low cost lang naman bahay namin pero atleast may stepping stone ako na parang practice 😅 baka who knows manalo ako lotto I can build my dream house in the future 😂. Tips: Every year ipon kami magkapatid on each phase sa house construction project. It is now our 2nd year. Malayo pa sa finish line pero ok lang baby steps lang basta di ipipilit na mag utang sa malaking interest dahil its a big savings na. Itoy sa budgeted lang yung cash 😅
Maayo gyud kaayo ni inyong gibuhat!!! Makatabang ni'g dako sa mga tao.. 👌
He is explaining how engineers answer mistakes on their projects. Typically, on my perspective, the reason why people needs engineer its because we trust them to build a well done house. So, what I am getting here is no matter how well planned and even you have engineers to help you out in building a house is that there will always be a problem that they can not foresee. I dont even know if cost benefit will works if you are building a house if that is the case.
I saw a reel about houses in Busay gone due to landslide during bagyong Paeng. I immediately thought of your house though you're not in Busay. What do you think about houses built in mountain tops or slopes? How do you make sure it is safer? Do you have criteria which mountain sites are okay to build houses on? Or is it just mother nature? Please enlighten.
Thanks for the owner/engineer feedback.
I’m expecting your video of your next home in the south of France 🇫🇷
Pag naay bisita si Slatr Y. I always look at Kriz Uy's face. She's very welcoming.
She's really a good mom. And a great wife.
📌Ang ganda ng setting. Super nice yung chinese bamboo, the lights, the brown couch, etc.
I just really love the overall aesthetic thing.
Man... Oh to have that kind ofpartner for the rest of your life..
Oh my! Hahahah.. hearing "Hindi na talaga matatapos Ang bahay na ito" - exactly me, to my CE husband. This is also my dilemma, there are revisions and additions during renovation, why can't you CE 's do it one time 🤣 hayyy there are always something to fix right there, up there, down there, left there 😭🤣🤣
I am literally looking and hearing myself and watching and hearing those "lectures" from my husband! Thank you for making me understand myself better, and my CE husband a liiiiittleeee more than I used to 🤣 🥰
Aaaaaaaah! Petition for SKY Fam to have a forum or talk with future home owners in the future🥺
Helps me to be a good architect in the future. Thanks to all pointers 🥰🥰🥰
Mas nakakagwapo talaga kapag maraming natutunan sa isang lalaki 🤩😍
That is why it is vital to hire experienced arch't, engrs and foreman kasi alam na nila and mga possible problems if you use this and that...
I will save all your house construction/renovation related videos for reference. Don’t need it now, but it will definitely be very useful for me in the future.
Grabe!!! Kaya talaga Architect x Engineer
parang kaharap lang namin kayo hahaha thanks for this content, kryz and slater! 💖
Put the mighty bond Inside Ng ref after use para mas matagal magamit, ☺️
It’s my dream to become a Civil Engineer also but it didn’t happen. Kaya every time na nanunuod ako sa vlogs ni Slater, I’m so impressed talaga and ang dami kong natututunan. I wish pinursue ko yung dream ko. I wanna be like slater young actually. 😅 I want to build a home. I’m also meticulous when it comes to detail. Sobrang nakikita ko yung ugali ko sakanya and natatawa nalang talaga ako 😂 Relate much 😅
got surprised when Slater said he uses mighty bond to his shoes as well 😅
Hahhahahha!from Kryz vlog to this vlog d halata nga followers jud ko"s Skyfam😅🤭

Thank you for this engr! I'm a 2nd year CE student and daghan kog nakat onan and for sure maapply ko ni in the future.
The video is so helpful, hoping for more of this topic... 👏👏👏👏
Most people think that after buying or having built a new house it ends there. Incorrect- building or buying a new house is much like buying a new car- there WILL be maintenance which I personally call "Upkeep". Especially sa bagong bahay. Planning is part of the process but you will only know the "quirks" of your house once you live in it. Roof sealants and roof paint will degrade over time especially here sa PH where heat is harsh, door jambs and doors will expand, metal railings will corrode, paint will slowly fade, walls will have hair line cracks etc. This is all part of owning a house. It will always be there, you just have to accept and sort it out. 👍
Kang slater mighty bond 😂😂😂😂
I think the thing is when you're marrying someone with a profession is that they are obsessed literally in 1 aspect. for example, my mom is a nurse and she's obsessed in keeping us in good health always and will always panic at a slight cough, colds or minor wounds. as engineers kasi they are very meticulous when it comes sa safety and integrity eh based sa impressions ko with slater which is all good. even ako as a developer, I am very meticulous when it comes to tech gusto ko worth it yung bibilhin kong gadget or parts for my pc, yung nasusulit ko yung internet provider namin and I tend to research alot when it comes to cybersecurity and alot of stuff when it comes to software, games and websites. parang when you have this profession kasi we tend to make use of it for our benefit kasama yung family natin. yun ang napansin ko
As an engineering student, this talk thought me a lot. Thank you
This should’ve been uploaded and watched by me before we built our house 2 yrs ago.
Exactly what my wife didnt anticipate from buying a house..everything wears off, worn out and maintained. Just like ppl too.
Urrghh kalami na ma Engr! Basta madungog jud nko SI slater 😭
God bless you always sir
Grabe ang dami kong natutunan on this video..

Hi this is so nice. Can you do videos on how to's in the house 😊
Bakit parang kasalanan nila na may pampagawa sila 😭😭
@Angela MERON NGANG.... HEHEHEHE....GANYAN BA ANG GALIT? MALABO LANG ANG MATA, PARA DI NA MAG SUOT NG PRESCRIPTION GLASSES
It's what you call passion.
love u, sky fam! 💗
Great tips! Salamat!
Number 1 factor is that, CEs are always exposed to new projects. New projects means, new idea/innovation. Then the CEs imagine if it is applicable sa bahay, will it be useful or not, willl it make an additional purpose or not..and if they have the means (money), then they apply it. Right now, their house have changed a lot. And it pays to visit, kasi nagkaka idea din ako for my future home. 😅😅😅
True that's what my aunt told me,
15 seconds in and i'm already smiling and kilig HAHSHAH
bro you need a Redwing Iron Ranger!
Very informative ❤️
love u skypod parents
New subs here.. Karen Davila vlog's brought me here...
@Slater Young koya onsa may imo opinion anang H-beams and EPS sandwitch panels for low cost 2 floors 33 sqm floor area house?
Pastilan! It happened to us! We're not expecting a silver turns into gold or ma perfect ang house pag ka construct pero grabe ni overboard gyud c contractor.. Magbilin gyud ug self doubt bisan pa ug unsa ka kaila ang nagconstruct..dili gyud mo trust fully!
Yes, get professional help to build homes & are safe from typhoons & weather issues …
How many times did we hear the word Engineer?
I see myself and my wife in this content😆

15:15, unsa diay na nga mistake sir? Para ma aware sad me hehehe, thanks
so clearly ang mali is super laki ng ginawa nyong house 😂😂😂
Longer video pls....
That’s my fault building my house na paid q na d na tinapos ng contructor and d pa maganda gawa nila
"Sumira" bisaya gyud si slater oy 😂
hehe..I notice that too.. bisaya gyud😄
Cheapest way to build a house: build it once, build it right
💓💓💓
Kaya one time naisip ko parang same lang sila ng walang engineer at architect ng pagpapagawa ng bahay.
As someone who doesn't watch your videos even though they were always recommended by youtube, the titles of your vids are very harmful to your brand and the reputation of your company. Why would I work with someone who created SkyPod na puro flaws? Just food for thought.
...and dinaanan kayo ng bagyo.
"Hindi kung wala akong Slater. Kundi wala akong engineer." Haiyaaaa. Emotional Damage.
Articulate, engr. Slater is. 💕
💖😍😍
💗💗💗💗💗
Hirap na to e benta if plano nyo e benta
