Private Conservation Area Selva Virgen (with english subtitles)

"We live in harmony with nature", tells us Julia Alegría, fanning herself after taking us on a two-hour hike through her Private Conservation Area Selva Virgen, located along the Iquitos-Nauta highway. Sitting on a bench outside of her cabin, she explains, in her witty and friendly manner, that what we had just seen is her life. Her father used to say that hurting the planet is like hurting ourselves.
